  • thanks for this video just broke my ankle and had surgery

  • Hi, im on my 3rd week of recovery i still cant walk on my own :/

  • Just got my cast off today feels really sore. The good thing is I didn't need surgery and I'm young. Thanks for the advice.

  • I like your style; girl, your pretty cute ;)

  • @monkey298 pedo?

  • what up? I just back from the track that killed my knee, and this time killed it! The track was more properly groomed and i was on an absolute animal of a bike! lets just say that I feel like I won after my 100th perfect lap!

  • I'm sorry for you girl... I had an easier surgery... broken tibial maleola ....and I feel like shit :((... thank you for your advices ............ sorry for my english

  • Now they want to take all the pins and screws out of my knee before it destroys all the cartilage. Oh and fix my lateral meniscus in my left knee. I just started riding street BMX, cuz the doctor said to get a bicycle to ride. This is not what he ment, but this totaly combines skateboarding and motocross into 1 cool and scary concept. I got 3 action sports in my life it is freeking great! I wouldn't trade it for anything! check out my vid "Life Klaimer skate vidoe" it was filmed after ankle/leg!

  • One last thing. I truly hope that u recover as well or better than I have! Oh, and when I said "thats the dumbets thing ever", I ment that it must suck to get broke off doing something so casual. I have this rediculously long "over come the set-backs and get back to doing the two things that I live for" story, and you were injured without being repayed with the ability to " get back on the horse" as they say. If you were limited from doing something you love, then just know that u r not!

  • Still not done! The impact refractured my ankle, and now it has full motion again! It did some thing to my hip socket cuz now it pops, and my upper back has to be reajusted once every two months. I have to say that the worst pain I've ever had was when the nurse picked my leg up by nothing but the heel 1 day after the opperation to get me into my wheelchair. I punched him in tha balls after waking up from my pain indused black out. 1yr later, I'm back riding at 99%, and skating at about 10%.

  • I'm not done! 3 1/2 months later I was back skateboarding, when a frontside noseslide stuck and sent me to the tail bone shattering it. I quit sk8ing for a while and started back riding motocross. About 1yr in and I broke my big toe skating the day before going to Millcreek MX where I cased a huge tripple and tore my ACL, MCL, LCL, both miniscus, and my patella tendon. I knew it was bad when my knee cap was 3" to high! This was my first major surgery! My leg was hanging on by skin and a PCL.

  • HAHAHA! Thats the dumbest thing ever! except for the talus, cuz I don't know what that is. In 2009 I broke my ankle and fracture my tibia/fibula while trying to frontside heel off the back of an 18wheeler. My ankle was crunchy and twitching around, so I stood on it and things went some what into place then I notice this ultra pain in my leg 5" above the ankle, followed by bending and shifting. Never went to the ER, but had a friend x-ray it and it looked like hell but in place kinda.

  • Hello from Greece...

    Thanks for the video!!!

I had a motorcycle accident May 8 2011, resulting to a broken tibia in many pieces. My doctor put internal fixation with 7 screws and osteosynthesis in the joint as the material in the joint was messed up.

1 and 1/2 months passed so I believe need these rehab exercises.

KEEP UP I believe and hope you feel better now...

  • Thank u for sharing ur advise and experiences with us! I fractured my ankle a few weeks ago and was feeling a little down about the whole rehabilitation process but ur encouraging words were just what i needed to help bring my spirits up. God bless u and have a speedy recovery!

  • hey i had a talus fracture 5 weeks ago, i went under surgery with 2 screws, can u please tell me 4m when can i start walking as before

    ......please reply

  • Hi. How are you today ? I had a trimalleolar fracture 7 weeks ago, and just started the rehabilitation this week as the cast was took off... I can already stand and walk with a partial weight, using crutches...

  • You have a lot of good and unique exercises in here, thank you for sharing. Keep up the good work!

  • You are a trooper silvana, it seems like u deal with pain better than I do, that's for sure! Keep workin it! Work your entire leg btw!!! It will get more blood flow to your ankle :) best of luck to u!!!!! Fight for your ankle getting better like u are fighting for your LIFE!!! Thats the conclusion I've come to, with my break :)

  • your welcome dont give upp

  • Omg! Your story is just like mine car accident and all! :") Just that my main fracture was the talus and I had 3 other fractures on the tibia and fibula but they were small.

I also had an external fixator for three months removed last Thursday and put into a cast which was removed yesterday. I instantly started doing this exercise you taught me :) and dipping my foot in warm water. Thank you very much please update! -3 or idk imma check and see If you have other videos.

    Again thank you!!!!

  • Helpful stuff here thanks for posting. I broke my ankle (tri-malleular fracture) in Early January and barely avoided surgery. I recently got the cast off but cannot walk yet. Still on crutches rotating my ankle every day. I use the exercise bike to help strengthen my calf muscle and thigh. I need these bands though! Where did you get them?

  • Very helpful! Thanks.. I broke me fibula and dislocated my tulas hiking. I'm five weeks out of surgery and starting PT next week. If this pretty much what to expect? When I try to put pressure on it, I get very week

  • Exactly right! This is the most beneficial physiotherapy recommended by foot-ankle trauma dept of Orthopaedics.

  • Very informative video.

Metriks' FCE software allows the healthcare professional to objectively quantify and report on a person's functional abilities.
