  • wonderful vid !

    NOOT !

  • @ichabod13 You have to clear coat it otherwise the paint will chip off. Clear coating it prevents that. You said you thought it was too tacky; you can use Krylon Matte finish to give it the look you want and protect it.

  • pc casemodding for those which have no pc:D

  • He didnt clear coat it and he painted the battery cavity which makes the pack stick, terrible job

  • @jkilson i would never use that battery pack in my controller, was just for looks. always have used rechargables.

  • Lets see it after 3 weeks of playing black ops

  • good job

  • did u clear coat it?

  • @BamaNation1996 nope, I don't like the way clear coat feels on a controller. I dunno why...just gets a bit too tacky.

  • one of my freinds from austin spraypaints controllers for 30 bucks each... I wounder if I sell mine too?

  • @aaron95 I do them free for friends. :P 1 can will do lots of controllers

  • well you not clear coating it might have messed it up but also painting in humid weather could get water in the paint and screw it up. i use krylon to paint mine and it does just fine. you need a few coats of it and a clear coat and it will last for over 6 months

  • @homestew66 I just followed the directions on my can, it was my first attempt before I discovered the duplicolor.

  • you should use painter markers like DECO it might take longer to paint but t works better(:

  • That is sexi.

  • id make mine red and black, or army camo

  • @atomicdonutinc I have a red and black one, I think it might be in another video I did.

  • will the paint chip or come off over time?

  • @FunkMasterKRoc watch my other videos and don't do this one. :P There's better paint out there.

  • krylon with few clear coats is great.

  • @xpertiez911 I don't like that sticky feel to the controller after you put clear coat on it. I do have a few with clear coat on it. :P

  • Did you paint the area inside the batteries cavity?

  • @VideoAddict31 Yeah, the controllers are apart when you pain them so that section is attached to the controllers circuit still.

  • krylon fusion vs duplicolor? for painting optical drive bezel. i don't want to prime or clearcoat.

  • the duplicolor will do better

  • just found another one i want to try - plastikote vinyl dye.

  • @ichabod13 99 cent paint already hase claer coat in it duh

  • @ichabod13 Use adhesion promoter always

  • that shits ill yo.!!!

  • uggly 4ever

  • That looks sick.

  • that looks gay

  • hhaha heres a question did u clear coat it

  • not on this one, this was my first attempt at painting the controller. i found this paint goes on way too thick and doesn't dry into the plastic, it's just for covering the plastic. You could never paint the controller's buttons with this paint.

  • U GOTTA SAND THE REMOTEEEE

  • u can tell he didnt lol

  • you dont no how to prep ur controller krylon fusion doesnt suck you do at preping controller

  • this wasn't a lesson in prepping the controller...I was doing it in the directions that the can said to. If the can said to sand and prime the controller...I would have done so. Waste of time with krylon and the colors suck.

  • I think your just not very good at this. Krylon is your best bet. As long as you know what your doing. Dupli color is also a good option

  • krylon sucks, duplicolor is much better...better color choices.

  • yea krylon is way to thick. only good thing about is that it doesn't run easylt

  • why no krylon fusion paint? i used it before and it works fine

  • i have an idea concerning the changing of the xbox360 ring color. if you had a sticker that some how was transparentish that blended or shone the color instead of the green light wouldnt it be a whole lot easier?

    respond plz

  • That is a good idea infact i was thinking of doing that but ima make my xbox pro look like an elite :) (black and normal lighting)

  • i have an elite

and ity came with halo 3 and fable 2 for free.

  • youve lost your waranty but cool spraypainting

  • Not really, the warranty is for the console and painting it does not void the warranty, only if the inside is tampered with or opened.

  • you kinda have to open the controller up to paint it...therefore voiding the warranty -.-

  • And? controllers are around 40-60 dollers.

  • and your stupid.

  • You're the stupid one here.

  • and if you do not want a conversation butted in to, why not take it into pming? another reason to call me a dumbass....

  • Also, don't butt in to random conversations alright dumbass?

  • yes, clearly i am the dumbass who didnt know that you have to tamper with a controller to paint it correctly.

  • Youcantread, exactly how do you think? So basically, if I walk out and buy a new controller, does that mean my warranty gets void for the CONSOLE? If you open the CONSOLE up, your warranty will get void.

  • does putting a new faceplate on count?

  • if putting a new face plate in ur xbox voided it then why would microsoft sell them? plus thers no little shiney sticker that you have to break to take it off... so ur answer is no

  • your supposed to clear coat it after you let the last coat of paint dry after a day

then after you clear coat it

dont play with it for a week and the paint job will last longer

  • Wat do u mean by sanding

  • sandnig is where you take apiece of sandpaper and rub it on something.....dumbass!!

  • 3 things...

    1. did you sand before painting?

    2. did you do at least 2 coats?

    3. did you use a clear enamel after the paint dried?

  • dude u married?

  • 5 years in july

  • the u shouldn't be making custom controllers.

  • did u sand it down before painting???

  • dude i was borde cuz my brother left so i saw this vid and i painted mine

  • so it dont rub/chip off use a type of sealant or something to preserve the paint.

  • Please reply - doesn't it fuck with your sync button?

  • how do you do that

  • dont worry

  • paint i would figure

maybe remove the inside before would prove useful

  • awesome

  • nicce jobb id buy that lol

  • $ick

  • nice!

  • cool

  • sweet

  • nice

  • nice

  • can i use latex spraypaint?

  • lol not sure but i think it would really suck nuts... maybe vinyl rattle cans and just throw on a clean spray of clearcoat.

  • kk thanks

  • Sand the controller first, yeah.

  • you should sell it on ebay alot of people are to lazy to do. or some people are stupid and think its a real controller.

  • that is a cool controller

  • You can use the fusion paint you just have to lightly sand the controller first.

  • I followed can instructions and it said nothing about sanding. It also says nothing about needing a clear coat. I don't like the way a controller feels with clear coat, it's "tacky" always. Duplicolor is best.

  • addeandreas..for me it was about 2 and a half weeks and now im going to use difffernt paint

  • hey , how long will it take for the paint to disappear ?

  • Like iccsouth said below, not long at all. Go with the duplicolor, as stated in my other video. :P

  • looks like it just came out of spidermans ass

  • ROFL NICE LOL UR FUNNY! XD

  • That looks really good was it difficult or did you have a easy time doing it

  • it's easy, but it sucks. Don't use this paint, see my other vids

  • you should have used enamel

  • Golden motha fukin Vulture. haha what the fuck are the chances of me finding you looking at the same fukin video. (Pr0 Nader)

    BTW...

  • Pr0 mother fucking Nader im getting my spray paint next week and the screw driver and when i paint it ill show you.

  • cant u just get it modded?

  • cool paint dude chek out my video search- xbox 360 controller silver tiger

  • why???????

  • theres a concoction called "primer".

  • really ?? the paint that says paint directly on plastic without primer...needs primer now ?? haha

  • I put 3 coats of blue krylon fusion, then some glaze, and 3 coats of gold on the bumpers and triggers with dupli black underneath the triggers, and glaze, it wasnt completely dry on the right trigger so it kinda chipped on the side but now its ok.

  • ya wat chilc said.

  • the colors are ugly, but the WAY you painted it was awesome

  • yu should of primered it

    cuz if yu primer it

    it doesnt really chip

only if yu try to actually chip it

  • thats nice..looks perfect

  • Did you read the instructions?

  • The video was taken after a 1.5 days drying period and I left it sitting next to an AC vent for another 3 days because it still felt tacky. A week later I noticed the paint was getting tacky after one playing session and not long after the paint turned to crap.

  • Curing time is 7 days.

  • 1.5 days + 3 days + 7 days = 11.5 days. :P thanks for the tip though.

  • d'oh, sorry, didn't catch all those numbers =P

  • Maybe the occasional play, it would be fine. But everyday gaming for a few hours it just doesn't work right. :( Seems it's more for cosmetic use. :P

  • ok listne to me very carufly! i have paint for 5+ years and can pretty much paint anything anywhere you can do it in 1 day for awound 50-100 bucks

ok on your shopping list 2000 grit sand paper, a bucket if you dont have one(evan a cup would work) your paint couler of choice make sure you get a plastic paint thoh id go withpaint in between 2-5 dollers a can(you better be useing spray paint?) now i sapose you have somthing around the size of a art pencil? if not buy one. double comment

  • you also will need a heating lamp(if you wana blow 150 bucks get a light like at beuty salons for drying nails, you will need painters tape(the thin kind and the large kind) you will need a razour or razour sharp knife, you also will need the screw drivers to take it apart wicth of course you have... now seesion one you want to take your 2000 grit sandpaper DRY and sand all the areas where you are going to paint no after you have done that make sure theres no bumps or lumps wow tripple comment

  • now take all your gadgets and gears out of the controuler and cover all possible wholes to the inside with large tape and put all decorations on with the thin now now its time to paint! make sure you spray from atleast 1 foot away! never spray closer or you fuck it up! now put in under the lamp to dry for atleast 1 houre... after it is 99% dry its time for the last coat for now repeat what i said earlyer exept let it dry for atleast 3 houres to make sure its 100 dry! yes another comment -.-

  • now put on your optionional(left it out in the shoping list :X) clear coa i highly recomend it becuase thats probly why your painting is going wrong now make sure thats 100% dry so now you have spent 7 houres on the controller and your 70% or 100% if you dont want it perfect if you wana finish the right way then wet sand it down(if you dont know how dont try it without watching some tatourils ecuase i have seen porches fucked up cus somone didnt know how to do it) another comment

  • now after its dry(takes like 20 minutes) paint it againt from 2 feet away(so its not as wet) now put on another coat of clear coat and your done! time elapsed 10-15 houres sure half the day but thats what weekends are for right? yea i spelled alota shit wrong but im cold tired and a little drunk still so hope this helps if you need more help comment back

  • so that stuff actually works, i was gonna buy it the other day but i decided to go to a car parts shop. im planing on painting it like yours only black instead of blue

  • watch my other videos to see the better paint. Krylon sucks. Wish people would read the comments made first...

  • ok and i if your repeating the same thing multible times you should put it in the description. most people arnt gonna read through 3 pages of comments

  • I just went the lazy way and covered the buttons in painter's tape and spray painted over the controller

  • how did you paint the trigers

  • hmm read the other comments please

  • Yo... jus wanna ask you a question... can you give me a deailed way of how to do this because im thinkin of duin this to my pad... how do you take all the stuff out of it and can you give me any tipson how to do it??? thanx a lot... leave me a message as soon as you can please... thanx a lot... danny

  • nice controler il do tha ha ha

  • look at my other videos for a better paint type.

  • gasoline is for cars...

  • yes, that's also what i'm talking about haha

just have to slide the one part over and remove it. Carefully though. If you use that same paint, it will be sticky

  • how did you paint the triggers?

  • the trickers pop out when you remove it.

Please read the other comments I made about this paint.

  • I know that, I'm talking about the triggers, not the bumpers.

  • i painted mine gold chrome but i didnt use nail vanish so, it all came off in my hands within a few days.

  • hey i painted mine yellow and i used krylon fusion and it was for plastic and then clear coat but when i play it it comes of were you hold it and then i did it again and i put 2 coats of the yellow then clear coat after and left it to dry for like 10 hrs and it still comes of wat should i do should i get new paint to use???

  • this is probably the 50th time i've said this... DUPLICOLOR VINYL PAINT AND DYE, buy it at your local automotive store.

  • would it be better to air brush it rather than spray paint it. I think it would

  • if you have the ability to air brush...yes. I don't have a setup for that. Remember that with air brushing you will need to have a clear coat.

  • after you let it dry n stuff, how does the controller feel? does it feel the same or does feel a bit sticky due to the spray paint?

  • Nice job.

Does anyone now wheter you can buy Krylon Fusion in Belgium (Europe)?

  • Look for duplicolor vinyl paint and dye. Check the other comments and you'll see I do not recommend this paint for anything you touch and use. The paint is very sticky and rubs off.

  • Thanks for the tip!

  • you should do one in that duplicolor mirage paint that changes colors, that would be cool, nice work, i painted one of the "xbox 180"(thats what i call the old one) controllers, but i dont have the right bit to do these ones, good work it looks good, id like to see your other creations

  • can u paint 2 of mines.ill bay you 80 bucks.

  • I'd do painting on controllers if you supplied the controllers. I would charge 5 dollars per for the paint.

Depends alot on the colors too...you should check out the other pictures as they look better than these. :P

  • how did u paint the triggers?

  • I took the controller apart. One of these times I need to make a video on the controllers with the duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye painted ones.

    They look alot better. :P

  • is it still like plastic smooth or is it like sticky rough thingy?

  • I recommend the other paint that I've been recommending. This paint is sticky to the touch and should only be used on things you will not be holding/using. Use duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint instead. It dries smooth and fast

  • kwl nice one

  • da lukss gdgd

  • you should've painted it black and white instead of blue and red

  • it's his preference man.

  • why when i try to reply to another comment it puts my comment at the top making me look like a moron saying random shit.

  • its ok. colors are good but you could have done a better sanding job. (looks to rough) Its pretty good work though.

  • The paint sucks :P krylon fusion is not made for stuff you use/hold. I repainted it a black with red for the top/bottom/triggers. ichabod13(dot)com/blackandred.jpg

  • it looks great!!

  • hey do you paint like guitar hero II controllers? if so like respond cause i would like to get into that i got a 360 controller

  • I use duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint. It works great for plastics. :P

  • meh ok i guess

  • I've got some better ones up now. ichabod13(dot)com/blackandred and /redandblack

  • blak n red wud be better XD

  • all of the paint was removed and I added a coat of black vinyl dye with red for the start/back/triggers/rb and lb/bottom section. :P You can see pictures at my websiteurl/blackandred.jpg

  • I just bought an xbox 360 elite so it's all black now :P that's the only color I'd really paint my 360 to begin with.

  • i got an ide paint youre xbox 360 :P

  • kick ass they should make controllers like these

  • it looks nice...

  • awsome remote.try selling some

  • The paint is more for display then anything else...the paint will rub off if you get sweaty hands or scrape at it. If you want a permanent color, use vinyl dye (auto stores)

  • cool

  • yay
