@patrickmoler I was gonna say... that belt looks like it's seen better days, lol. But I remember that many parts of the belt had been replaced, including the domed globe, and they put onyx panels on the sides where it was originally only black paint.

Great match. Thank you for posting. As has been said, Jack was tired of all the travel and was ready to drop the title to Terry.

It is great to see the great Gordon Solie calling the match highlights as well as interviewing both legends.

Brisco mentions several times especially on the History of World Title DVD that he was tired of being champ and all the travel and he was happy to drop the title on to Terry. Funny because Terry Funk felt the same and only wanted to be champ for a year or little more as the NWA Champ schedule was insane. He got his wish in Feb 1977 when he dropped the belt to Harley Race. That tells you how tough and good Race and Flair were for NWA to keep the belt on them for the length of time they did.

@mastermold2011: December 10, 1975.  Terry Funk would win a World Heavyweight Title two more times. He defeated Jerry Lawler for the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Title on November 5, 1990, and defeated Raven for the ECW World Heavyweight Title on April 13, 1997.
