But not where the text on the frontcover is but to the right of the front cover. At the bottom there it should be a tiny sign saying either PAL or NTSC/U or something similar. Tell me what it says and which country you live in

They actually give you a whole new console, if your loucky you'll maybe get a slim :P But if the disk however does not work at your friends place you should take contact with amazon and you'll get a new one

If you have an old xbox that maybe got red ring (like me) or your friend has one ask them if u can borrow it and put that one in just to try. It sounds harder thab it really is maybe but opening an xbox is quite simple and taking of thedisk tray is just as easy as.... cant come up with anything but its really easy! if u can find a dead xbox steal the disk tray and try it!
