Ronaldinho in his prime is probably top 5 players of all time along with Ronaldo, Pele, Maradonna, Zidane IMO. He could do everything Messi does & more in his prime, take on numerous players, score out of nothing (like against Chelsea), score goals people only dream about (again Chelsea & Villareal) but nobody can argue that Messi is on his way to their level. He still has to do it on the World Cup stage without the likes of Xavi, Iniesta or Villa before people can say hes one of the best ever

Barcelona rely too much on Messi.

You said it by yourself. What is the purpose of dancing on a football field? Ronaldinho's intention is to make people say "wow did you see that? I can't believe what he pulled off there " and it worked on this occasion, just like it didn't work on many other occasions where he pulled off a move for his ego and didn't create a scoring position from it.
It is marketing for himself and usually not beneficial for the team. Unlike Messi, Zidane and other legends

@Foreverguga1 Oh cmon cut the guy some slack. This is how Ronaldinho naturally plays. You can tell he didn't pull off this move to impress, he just done what he thought was right. He couldn't slide the ball to Iniesta because he was surrounded. In a quick moment of improvisation he mesmerized the players around him and that's how they didn't get close to him. Nobody pulls the trigger on the spot after moving like that and that's why Czech was rooted to the spot.

The reason why it's seen as a great goal is bcoz of the way Ronaldinho made the entire Chavski defence think he was gonna thread it through for Iniesta, but instead swerved a shot through a bunch of defenders from 20 yards out....
It may not be the best goal ever but the improvisation if it u must admire surely?
