  • HOSSEIN REZAZADEH AND BEHDAD SALIMI BEST OF THE BEST WORLDWIDE

  • One thing that always strikes me seeing Rezazadeh lift: His cleans look so incredibly easy. Instead of having that huge extension like so many others do, he just flows from the first position to having the bottom squat with the weight on his shoulders.

  • @TrueRahf I agree it just seems like the Records he holds he could have done more on the snatch & c&j,

    check out my vids

  • Well when your gut goes between your legs it tends to help with olympic lifts.

  • tooo fat Klokev or Dolega are much stronger.Such fat lifters should be banned.

  • 0:39 the ground shakes...

  • @nboozie29 Unfortunately Rezazedeh is retired so we won't see them head to head. Pat has hit some impressive numbers in training, but lets wait and see him hit those lifts in a meet that counts. Training and competition are too different things.

  • @joeperformanceone especially when the comps are tested, like at the arnold classic where his best clean and jerk was only what his "supposed" snatch is.

    *cough*

  • @nboozie29 That's just it though "unofficial". Lets see what he can do when he gets onto the international competition scene. Different balll game, however his videos are extremely impressive.

  • @nboozie29 Pat Mendes' snatch is very good, but come on, he's over 30 kg behind on the C&J. That's not something I think he can gain in a year or so.

  • @nboozie29 Pat mendes has NOT set any unofficial records! that 207 snatch was done WITH straps! he would never yank 207 off the floor like that without them. i have seen andre aramnau double 210 with straps! and i really doubt he has clean and jerked 240 because he is jerk is fucking terrible and he will get a press out called on him everytime in an international competition. reza would shit on mendes anyday.

  • @nboozie29 Please don't disrepect a world class elite athlete....

  • @nboozie29 Please don't disrepect a world class elite athlete....

  • @nboozie29 key word unofficial

  • @nboozie29 typical arrogant American. Mendes can barely snatch 180 in competition.

  • @MultiTrollHunter Arrogance is not something characteristic of just Americans, though it seems your hatred of Americans stems from racism, not based on what they say (even if the commented to whom you responded is an idiot).

  • @EndlersaurusRex since when was "American" a race? You utter moron

  • @MultiTrollHunter Okay, you're a bigot. Better? You're still a narrow-minded douche, whether I misused a word or not.

  • @nboozie29 he might be jucied up. does he undergo strict olympic blood testing like rezazedeh did.

  • @nboozie29 Hossein set world records in 2000 at age 22 and c&j 260kg, and behdad salimi is half year older than pat mendes and has set 214kg unofficial snatch record, video is on youtube. Mendes did 207 snatch with straps. Also, if you look at Rezazadehs c&j, you'll see there were a few extra kilos there... Behdad Salimi will beat all of hosseins records. Iranians are too strong bro.

  • @nboozie29 i think your IQ is only one digit...

  • @nboozie29 hahahahahaha.....pat mendes is nowhere close to ''dominate'' hossein rezazadeh........................when your precious pat mendes can do a 400kg atg back squat and snatch 216 and clean and jerk 263.5 then you can call pat mendes good................pat mendes is one of the worst lifters ive ever seen...in training he snatches 200kg in competition he snatch like 150 and clean and jerks like 210....in the olympics thats almost enough to win the mens 85kg class.....LOL!

  • Persian tank!

  • wooooooooowwwww xD aaaaaahahahahahaha no

    that's impossible xD

  • Such a shame this guy retired duet to injury. Watching his videos you get a feeling that the guy could have c & j'ed over 270kilos easy, even 280kg. I don't think we will get someone like this guy for some time. Steiner won the 2008 OG but didn't leave an impression of ever approaching Hossein. Let's see what the 2012 OG bring.

  • its incredible how flexible he is for his size

    how is he so flexible?

  • does doing squats like that make it easier on your lower back?

  • @NOFseXy straight back reduces likelihood of gettng a lower back injury. Plus you can stabalise your core and have the weights being pushed back up by your quads which are much more powerful

  • Anybody bitching about his form here has not the slightest clue. Reza is an absolute artist in this. his form is flawless, it's so good that quirks here and there are magnified, since every other aspect of his lifts are beyond reproach. they are almost beyond explanation; he is a god of form, he's the Mikhail Baryshnikov of lifting. Nobody watching this, and I mean NOBODY should not consider every motion he makes a lesson. 'forward hop' my light brown asshair. STFU, noob

  • i thought you got disqualified from the olympics for not being human

  • i wonder how much food this guy eats in one day

  • A Reply to the forward jump comments- freeze it at 10 seconds you can see the bar needs to forward to go around the belly (I'm a big guy), and the jump forward is to compensate for this. Also a 170kg lifter is going pull a weight in a different line then a 105 kg lifter or lighter. the lighter the lifter per weight the more it will get pulled backwards as the center mass will be further back at extension. Hope this helps. Happy Lifting :)

  • @DKerelchuk That is interesting about the bar path. I was also considering simply about the size of the lifter that there is a physical advantage because more mass anchors the weight. Is this the main physical advantage to the 105+ lifters?

  • wow his front squats are so fast!

  • Hossein is just a beast. Much respect to him.

  • Steiner is very lucky that Reza got injured otherwise Reza wouldve definently won and there wouldnt have been a fairytale ending

  • i agree

  • 0:10-0:40 - kg ?

  • Yeh to be honest if you actually watch him lift, his technique is pretty shite! But I suppose that only makes it more impressive that he is that brutally strong…

  • Its actually not bad, its just that his body type makes it look akward-very large gut ext-

  • @Myself0101 How is his technique shite?

  • he forward jumps

  • So? He C&J's 263kgs, he must be doing SOMETHING RIGHT!

  • i was just answering your question, you asked how was his technique bad.

The forward jump is an indicator of an inefficient bar path.

  • You couldn't be more wrong. Many Bulgarians shift or jump forward or backward. Suleymanoglu, Mutlu, Boevski, Gidikov, Chakaraov, Krastev. Toporov they all pulled the same way. Why? Cause the long time Iranian coach was Yordan Ivanov, a Bulgarian. And let me remind you that Bulgarians pulling in this inefficant manner you speak of where the first lifters to clean and jerk triple bodyweight. Now many Chinese imitate this pulling style.

  • YOU couldn't be more wrong.

I specified a FORWARD JUMP, not any other kind that you are yapping on about.

(Backward jumping is fine and is an artefact of a pull that has reached full extension - all of which is beyond the scope of this topic).

A forward jump normally means you have not reached a full extension (note: opposite to the cause of a backwards jump). Normally, the knees have not extended fully causing the bar to be heaved around the knee (like sagir), or the hips have not extended.

  • Once again you are very very mistaken. I yapped on about lifters that shift forward or backward, (chakarov for example jumps forward). You are more or less dicussing triple extension which most lifters do not do. Jumping forward is not indicative what so ever of failing to complete extension.

sagir does not heave the bar around his knee. He catapults the same as other bulgarians except he begins his pull with shoulders behind the bar, which brings the bar into the thighs much quicker.

  • my main point is that bulgarians are prone to do both. Ive seen many top bulgarians train in person and one rep they go forward, the next back. same pull. As evidenced by Reza since his coach was Bulgarian and he is jumping forward slightly. What works works.

  • @powmongo yes, but the era of the bulgarians as amazing and mystical as it was has shown to simply be a piece of history. The form of gov, the coaching from Abajev in combination with professed drug use, and the training sequence which I can only believe was possible due to drug use all had at least a part in making olympic champions. Why is it that Abajev was booted from Bulgaria and hasn't had success since? Possibly because his treatment of lifters and of drug use? I can only guess.

  • @powmongo I think without saying it you made a good point. It all really comes down to what is best for the individual lifter. While general bio-mechanics and bar bath efficiency can be more or less calculated, that isn't for the individual unless designed for the individual. And unless there are large anomalies with technique, no coach would ever go that far in depth at this level of training.

  • funny how the guy next to hims saw him do the first lit, then just left like "Fuck it! This guy's making me look like a woman"

  • lmao i was thinkin same thing

  • The guy didn't leave, Hossein ate him.

  • LMAO!!!! Well he needs his protien!

  • lol, this guy's legs are so big he only has to squat parallel to get ass-to-grass

  • ive just noticed, the angle that the back makes with the floor should stay constant throughout the first pull, all the other guys do that, but reza's hips come up much faster. just goes to show that technique does not have to be perfect in order to be succesful.

  • his technique is not great but no one will match him in strength your techniqu does have to be near enough perfect beacuse this wont work for every one.

  • Ever heard of hip drive?..

  • yes i have, i was commenting on the fact that the longer the movement the less expolisive it less, he starts his second pull early and in a bent over position while most of the others start their second pull when they are almost erect.

  • Its a shame that there arent many videos on Youtube of Reza training. Watching him train is awesome.

  • He is an Azeri Turk from Iran.

  • hi raza zadeh how r u ? i am kurdish iraq but i living england really i proud u strong man in the world ? raza zade i prent your pic with my tishet 2 many english poeple asked me who this i am told evryone he is from iran strongman in the world i hope see u in shallah good luck brother from kurdish iraq

  • the guy training next to reza has to feel like shit

  • The guy's mind: Why the hell am i here, there's noway i can get 1st. I know i go for 2nd place. Wait, who's the other favorite under him? Ah fuck i give up!"

  • @katrinski lol, yeah no kidding! he's probably like, "yeah a pr! oh, wait, reza's warming up with that."

  • @katrinski at least he can see his dick when he looks down

  • nice vid

  • ya abolfazl:)

  • How did he do at the 2008 Olympics

  • He didn't compete.

  • Hand injury and high blood pressure! He retired, but his performances will live on!

  • whats crazy is that his second pull looks almost non existent but he stil getting the bar high!

  • I think with the heavier the weights get, the less visible the second pull is

  • nice footage

  • How much is he training with in C&J?

  • He is clean and jerking between 210-230 kilos. He is Front Squating up to 220 for a double.

  • 210 and 220 isnt it?

  • @joeperformanceone he lift more than 280 front squat me i do 240 front squat and 310 squat back

  • @LUISCANDA Yeah, and I do 5000 front squat and 7000 back squat. What are you doing bragging on youtube?

  • @Zoidypoo89 JEJEJEJEJEJEJE POR KADA VEZ QUE RESPIRES VETE MUCHO A LA VERGA JOTILLO NO SABES NI QUE PEDO IDIOTA TENIAS QUE SER UN PENDEJO SIN QUE HACER

  • @LUISCANDA What are you doing responding in spanish? You seem kind of pissed though, so maybe you didn't sense my irony... (;

  • bravo hossein reza zadeh

  • not many big guys can keep a line like dat with a Weight like dat!

  • I think he has one of the best techniques for a SHW.

  • love this guy!!

  • This guy back has a back squat raw max of 970 lbs, if they made powerlifting an Olympic sport(raw no bullshit equipments, cept a weight belt) then this guy could probably set new world records,

  • wiki has it at 400 KG (882 pounds) but the highest I've seen Ironmind refer to his back squat was 380 KG squat (837 pounds)

  • reza is amazing, best lifter ever

  • why does he rock back and forth, does that do anything?

  • Generates Momentum on the lift.

This because it is a "moving start", not a "dead start" on the lift.

Then the upcoming lift presses down on foot to leverage the momentum if you will.

    Awesome form.

  • I love watching him train. He makes those weights look so effortless.

  • i mean he lifts those things like they are fuckin 5 pounds lol hes great i love doin snatch and clean and jerk

  • love this guy!!!

  • makes it look easy, what a wank! :P i think he will be unstoppable

  • Awesome form, Spit-Polish Clean when you go frame by frame.

  • does anyone know what weights he was doing here?

  • He is clean and jerking between 210-230 kilos. He is Front squating up to 220 for a double.

  • I take it thats at the current..... still not poor.. what actual weight is he doing pulls with liky as in clean pulls and snatch, and also deadlifts? do you know..... thanks

  • I don't know what he pulls or deadlifts. The program that he follows doesn't incorporate pulls or deadlifs. Snatch, C+J, Pwr Snatch, Pwr Clean + Jerk, Back and Front Squat only.

  • im supprised at that... tho he is a very imprerssive lifter, is he competiting this olympics do you know?

  • Let me think..Rezazadeh an olympic lifter?

Oh yes I remember, he is the guy who won 2 OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALS, setting various world records in snatch, c&j and total.

Olympic champion, world champion, winner of the asian games and so on.....

    Ever heard of him^^??

Man you dont seem to be interested in weightlifting otherwise you would have heard of him...he is disassembling all lifters since 2000!

  • what is rezzie pulling?

  • He is cleaning between 210-230 kilos if my memory serves me correct.

  • Is Reza going to be in China that year?

  • I beleive so. This should be his last Olympics. He skipped out on the Worlds to be healthy enough for this event.

  • He skipped out on the Worlds because of a hand iniury being caused to a car accident at the beginning of the year 2007!

So you cannot say wheter it ll be his last Olympic competetion!

  • Is Reza going to be in China that year?

  • How is his shape for Beijing ??

  • I know he is battling a couple injuries and he sat out this last years World Championships. He is still the favorite in Beijing and he should be in shape for that meet. But only look for what he needs to win and not big numbers. He will definately retire after the Olympics.

  • o wow

  • Thanks Joe , cheers mate !

  • the front squats are just too easy, what weight is that?

  • The weight on the front squats ranges from 170-220 kilos. I have seen him in person back squat 305 kilos with easy. He has said his best back squat is 440 and best front squat is 350.

  • Wow 350 front, thats at least a 300 clean .... 270kg clean and jeak Beijing ??

  • The weight on the front squats ranges from 170-220 kilos. I have seen him in person back squat 305 kilos with easy. He has said his best back squat is 440 and best front squat is 350.

  • WHOA!!! Thanks a lot for the info!!!

  • question for joeperformance

very interested to hear about rezas bests in the front and back squat-did he actually tell you he could front 350 and back squat 440 ive heard he could back as much as 500 .also did he tell you his best training snatch +clean and jerk?

  • rezazadehs best front is about 310, best back is 390 kilos... that is totally raw for full squats. His best training snatch is 215 off the hang i believe, dont know about clean and jerk, but i know he can clean 280 kilos!!

  • do you have any video of these squat attempts? hard to believe that he squats 440 olympic style!

  • I have video of him squating 305 kilos very easy prior to the 2006 Worlds in Santo Domingo. I will be posting them soon.

  • yeah, i think i know this vid. looks very easy indeed as well as the vid in which he front squats 280kg for a double. but that´s still a long way up to 440kg. most powerlifters can´t squat this even by using their silly equipment!

  • This guy could clean 275 -280kg

  • One powerful mofo.

  • Reza Zadeh is the shit

  • TIGHT!!!!!!

  • great weightlifter.......makes weightlifting look so easy........

  • Real life Super Man.

  • lui e' il piu' forte di sempre a pechino 270kg di slancio vai hossein
