As far as i know, the US and the UK versions are the same underneith. So the mag should come out. It takes some pulling to do it but it removeable. Move the leaver thing from underneith it and it should yank out.

no, the gun is purely a collectable and can not be used in the game in any way. The game it self came with a code for a unlockable Gold Lancer to use in the multiplayer modes.

you do know that Gears 2 suffers from lag and slow matchmaking times due to technical faults in the game it self. Its on IGN and Eurogamer and they are working on a patch to fix it all. And if UK slowed internet conections for every game then Gears 1, COD 4, Resistance, MGO ETC would suffer from lad aswel. So in one sentence, the problem is with Gears 2 not interweb conections.
