His work is so under-appreciated! Gato was a force, with Carlos Santana, for bringing us the power of passionate Latin Jazz. Would love to hear him with Arturo Sandoval too. Check out albums Under Fire and Bolivia. Viva Siempre Gato!

I was at this show. The club disrespected Gato by having lots of feedback and lighting problems, as you can see in the video. At one point Gato looked up to where the soundman should have been and said "Hey que pasa?" But I don't think anyone was even up there. Otherwise, it was an immense pleasure to see one of my musical heroes and one of the coolest people alive.
