Raindrops in the ocean of reality! fuckin great line.
i would argue that people over the course of the last 10000years really arent that different. what we do has changed, how we do things has, task are easier. but we still embody every quality that we allways have. old people are allways like "the world is so bad now." NO , its just u know how bad the world allways was, thanks to the internet .
that maybe true, but if used at healthy levels it can be the greatest benifit to human kind, i coraspond with people form japan, sweeden, iceland, makes it alot harder to think: "bomb Iceland" when u become globalized. i think it brings us together in such a way that world becomes smaller.
and how bout the porn. lol.
having a spiritual life is imperitive to being fully human, i would agree with your last point on that topic.
Some great points...You see many more viewpoints on YT than you would be exposed to sitting in front of the TV. Some are good, some are ignorant, but they all make you think not just sit and absorb. Plus my typing has improved! An unintended windfall.
What number of combo meal do you want with your network TV? You actually have choices on the internet. I would choose to have ideas outside the mainstream. 5 stars as always!
"A new study claims that children's brain could be re-wired in a "negative" way by using Community Websites like Facebook"...the minifeeds on my facebook account would prove them right.
However there are only two people out of hundreds that are kept me from closing my Facebook account...I don't like being found by 'i used to know you"'s and the b.s. I tried to leave behind.
Well it would actually, YouTube can be used as a Social Networking Site, like MySpace and Facebook users can choose their level of exsposure and participation.
I agree, sometimes it pays to stay under the radar; however I also believe these sites are better for young minds than TV, CRK
see, I think Youtube's better because you can be 100 percent private, useful and it's entertaining. i can get legit study material here while listening to my fav tunes at the same time. not fb
FB is set up to be a networking site for college students and it hasnt' changed it's format when it marketed itself to adults. Hello drama? Funnier yet, none of my college friends are on there, it's just the highschool. So as it stands, it's just an online profile.
Yes, I too prefer YouTube for a number of reasons. However, if given the choice between Facebook and NBC, or MySpace and CBS, I side w/ the Sites everytime. But again, YT rules'em all;) CRK
I think social networking takes away some of the intimacy of human relationships and it's a lot easier to become a bully online.

Thanks to the indipendant spirit which molded the net as it is today.
Slowly but surely micro-managing mass media is eroding that spirit away, CRK

So the study doesn't apply to youtube.
