  • hey, i have a c6 z06 with magnaflow magnapacks. it has no mufflers just two resonators. im about to add long tubes and thought about making them mate up to the magnapacks, but it would be way too loud for that 7 liter to be breathing open headers. as a track car only it would be great, but i like to take it on 4 - 5 hour trips. the magnapacks are almost too loud for long trips. how is the cruising sound with headers and the corsas? and i do love aggressive sound.

    And yes I've actually driven several high end domestic and European sports, exotic and supercars.

  • @quatroportte i didn't like the cayman s I drive last summer. It felt sharp at the front but not confidence inspiring. Just twitchy. The Ferrari 360 I drove was very nice. Responsive and tight but a little gutless so it was pretty easy bc it's limits were never that extreme. The gallardo feels like a big Audi tt. It's

    very pretty and you can go anywhere in first gear which is a blast. But none of the exotics i've been in cam touch corvette zo6 performance wise. Continued...

  • @DaBluedude100 Drove my uncles 2010 cayman S. I didn't like it either.... It felt odd through the corners like it had a big weight attached to the back.

  • @quatroportte Yes they are cheap and they fall apart in the fit and finish department and are tough at the limit. But Ita got a bullitproof powertrain and great handling once your comfortable with it. I like that it's cheap and simple because it means you can drive it hard every day and not worry about it. As for mustangs they are muscle cars. No exotic can offer the same theater as a good muscle car. Hopefully you can appreciate that.

    ok,i agree with all the things you said.Performance wise...997 turbo s...530hp,4seats,6cyl,3.6Litre­,26mpg,0-60 in less than 2.9sec(the regular turbo was clocked at 2.9 by car and driver)

  • @quatroportte Porsche puts the power to the ground dur to all wheel drive.However get the zr1 to hook up and its going to win.On stock tires 911tt takes it every time.On drag radials and a good driver its a very tight race with the zr1 pulling away at top end.

  • @camirocz ZR1 with the right traction can do 0-60 in 3.3 seconds from the factory, that is faster than the GT2 Porsche, AWD.

  • @Quatermain98526 GT2's are not AWD. RWD, the turbo is AWD.

  • @onquarter I would agree with that. The quintessential sports car is what? RWD with a front or mid engine. I'm sure some would disagree with that, I would too nowadays. I do think though, in the simplest sense of that statement, that yes RWD is better for a drivers car.

  • Zora Duntov made the Z06 RPO code mean MORE than "nothing." I suggest you research this "RPO Z06" thing.

  • stop redlining it shift around 6200rpm. would suck to float your valves

  • that engine is made to rev out though, and besides, shifting at 6200 rpm makes sense on paper because thats where peak power is (about), but if you shift low like that it will knock you out of the power band (not that there is a dead spot for this car) going into the next gear, resulting in slower acceleration. besides, have you hear that engine at redline in person? omg what a sensation! lol

  • besides, can you rev-match downshifts, at that speed, within a 1K RPM variance? If so, let's see it. LOL

  • what are you kidding? rev matching downshifts is easy. you can't do it?  your clutch must hate you.

  • I love it, the car sounds unbelieveable. It's amazing what the new Z06 can do, that 3rd gear pull past 100mph is insane. Have you dynoed it yet? I'd think it would be around 480ish at the tire?
