@MidNiteHD what a dumbass comment. michigan st had the heart. louisville didn't. they were just cocky punks. just shows how classless louisville fans are.
@Deuzday your comment isnt much smarter..louisville did play with heart...they just werent good enough..none of there starters were recruited as higher than a 3 star..Michigan St just outplayed them. Nothing to do with heart, especially if you see t-will after the game..hes devastated
@bahpben Are you saying Louisville starters werent recruited as higher than a 3 star? Because as i recall Samardo Samuels was the #1 Overall recruit that year at 5 stars, Earl Clark was 5 stars, Jerry Smith was 4, T-Will was 4 stars, and McGee was 3 stars.
@MidNiteHD the nerve of Suton to play his ass of in a game to get him to the final four and ruin another player's dream of going to a final 4. seriously you have t make a better argument than that. so he should have layed down and let an inferior team win? that's not how it works
As a U of L student and fan, I felt like we had the talent to compete with UNC and beat MSU, but Ricky P, as great of a motivator and recruiter he is, is not a great X's and O's coach.
Izzo is the best coach in the country, and I'm glad MSU beat stupid UConn, too. I hate that team. But not as much as UK.
These michigan state spartans was not picked too beat louisville cardinals nor was the picked too make the final four this effert they put up shows you that no matter what anybody say about you and tell you what you will never be and could never do it shows you that you can you can prove peoples wrong and that's just how you have too do things in life
Summer will take Walton's. For Suton's spot it depends on who we play. If we play a small team we will go with a lineup of Lucas, Summers, Morgan, Green and Roe if we play a bigger team we will send Green to the bench slide Roe to the 4 and start either Herzog or one of the freshman at the 5.
gotta love those spartans!!! proud to say im an msu alum!!! What do you guys think about next year. THe big question mark will be how our centers play
Oh and just a little tidbit for cena: Cousy was a forward. Not a PG and at least spell his name properly. Petino is a sleeze, but I respect him as a coach, he's done well with the program, but now, he needs to clean up his act. He got outcoached by one of the best coaches in the country, there's no shame in that.

Whateva Kentuckys nuthin Mich Sates nuthin IDK why anyone cant say Mich State got soo lucky, Pitino just told the team to quit playin down by 8 with 3 minutes left to go,,, Pitino is a wayyy wayy better coach than Fizzo, plus Bob Couzy the greatest PG ever,,, ohh did u wnt me to say Magic ohh noo if we are talkin bout history its Couzy and who has more championships Couzy or Magic,, dont worry Ill wait
first off it is spelled Cousy. With a 'S.' ill give you the benefit considering that he stopped playing before you were born. why did your weak ass argument turn to cousy in the first place? this is a 2009 elite eight game not the 1950 NIT title game.
your math is pretty bad. with 3 mins left in the game UL is down 17. they had already quit. they quit exactly at the 4:29 mark of the game while allen is still hangin on the rim.
a little help for next year, pick state to go far in your bracket.
Right, since I'm sure Pitino, being the great coach that he is, would tell his players to stop playing for a chance to go to a final four, face facts MSU won fair and sqaure. No luck involved they executed a perfect game. Magic Johnson transformed the game, and his career was cut short. Cousy has 6, Magic has 5. And Magic played in an era with Michael, Larry, Parrish, McHale, Ewing, Clyde, and more rounds to the playoffs, so get that weak bull shit out of here about championships.
Sorry, kid. You're grasping at straws with everything. Just admit that your favorite team lost to a better team and move on with your life.
P.S. Magic is the best PG in the history of basketball at any level, and it's not even close.
P.P.S. I'm thinking with Ricky P's improved adultery skills, he may be able to land some even better recruits. Just make the home visit, lay the pipe to the kid's mom, and make sure to promise to pay for that abortion if necessary.

aha Louisville is way better u just cought themm off.. who from Michigan state has had 2 draft piks in the first round.....dnt worry il wait.. oh and who won their confrence title... dnt worry ill wait,,, oh and who has more final fours and tournament wins.. dnt worry ill wait
MSU and Louisville both won their respective conferences. MSU won its conference by 4 games and went 3-1 vs the #2 and #3 teams in the conference.
UL won its conference by 1 game and didnt play the #2 and #3 teams in their conference on the road (at home they went 1-1). btw congrads on your first ever big east title.
Final Fours:
Lousiville 8, MSU 7
Final Fours in the last 10 years:
MSU 5 ('99,'00,'01,'05,'09), UL 1('05)
You have to go back 23 years to 1986 to find the next UL final four.
I didn't know draft piCks (don't forget that c buddy) were a measure of a college team's success. MSU may have cAught (yes it's an a not an o) them off guard but I'm pretty sure that is what good teams do, they play consistently and play the best when it counts the most.
Too bad history doesn't matter. Otherwise Kentucky would have been in the final four with UCLA as the national champ. A national Championship 25 years ago doesn't make you good now. And your boy Terrence Williams got his ass beat by an average basketball player. And who has the greatest point guard in the history of the game... don't worry, I'll wait.
that pep talk kinda sucked

really? it was really hard to understand you due to what can only be described as a lack of literacy, but i think this is what you were looking for:
MSU First Round Draft Picks in the same year:
1979 - Earvin 'Magic' Johnson (1st overall) & Greg 'Special K' Kelser (4th overall)
2000 - Mateen Cleeves (14th) & Maurice Peterson (21st)
2001 - Jason Richardson (5th) & Zach Randolph (19th)
2005 - Shannon Brown (25th) & Maurice Ager (28th)

And "Ricky P" should spend some more time coaching, and less time sticking his Italian sausage into holes it shouldn't be anywhere near.
