  • i love the sound it makes when the button's pushed

  • @pressmin the sound is a little quiet

  • I kinda liked this game.

  • That sound effects when he pushed a button on a prize was used in "The Joker's Wild" during a bonus round called "Beat the Devil" where you can win money and avoid the Devil. If you land on the Devil, you lose. I haven't seen "The Joker's Wild" in so long.

  • I wish that Penny Ante hadn't been retired, and The Poker Game, they could have brought The Poker Game back and given it a makeover with 4 digit prizes, I miss these two games a lot, I'm wondering if Buy or Sell is still in the regular rotation of pricing games on The Price is Right? I like that game too, I'd like to see that game played moreoften.

  • God I miss Bob on Price... he might have been an SOB on the set but he really is the "WGMC".

  • Why did they retire this game? It had great light and sound effects.

  • @jokerhawk21681 IT was after Bob Barker retired I think, Drew Carey took away some of the games

  • thats awesome

  • 1999

  • Do they still do the dice game

  • @marinetiger29 you bet they do

  • @FilmNMusicBuff77 Don't forget Supersaver and pick a pair ( the original Caroussel setup ) Also, DON'T EVER FORGET SUPER BALL

  • @alyr315 Hole in One (or Two)

  • i remeber this was a very unreliable game...I know a few times the answer came down before it was supposed to lol

  • That sound effect was also used on the famous "Face The Devil" spin effect from The Joker's Wild.

  • Wasn't it also used on Double Dare too?

  • Yes, it was when the first clue is revealed on the monitor.

  • The sound effect was first used on the CBS "Double Dare" for the clue revealer and isolation booths (the theme was later reused on the Jim Perry version of "Card Sharks"). The sound effect was next used on the short-lived CBS version of Tic Tac Dough for the jump-in buzzer and after Penny Ante made its debut, Jack Barry, in "spicing" up his Joker's Wild set, introduced the sound and associated chaser lights to the bonus wheel lever from c.1978 until its cancellation in 1986.

  • Along with the chaser light effect (going from the handle to the windows--leading to the infamous "You broke our WHEEL" incident in the early 1980's)

  • i remember this pricing game. you get a win on this just as easy as "double prices." i always like that classic sound effect it makes.

  • I remember that game!

  • Fastest win on Penny Ante ever!

  • The contestant got 2 right on the first try!

  • That is quick in 30 seconds.

  • I think it's just nice to see another clip..screw up or not.

  • Nice to see a clip of penny ante where the game dosn't screw up!
