  • I was about 12 Living in england and the only music I had was the Top of the Pops and Radio luxenburg at night,,, This came on the Top of the Pops and I will never forget it,

  • rip, john/paul/vincent

  • Fantastic number - one of those which really sticks in the mind...

  • thanks brings back memories of listening to my brothers records

  • You're welcome.

  • RIP John... you 3 now play in heaven and we'll meet you there someday... we love you...

  • RIP John DuCann...

  • R.I.P John Ducann.

  • i was pretty peeved when i bought an atomic rooster compilation album and it didn't include this song. how can they forget to add a gem like this to a compiliation?

  • @wvb93 You gotta be kidding me about this song not being included on their compilation album, this song was a Top 20 hit in the UK and is one of their best known songs, this song was also featured on the box set compilation "Best Prog Rock Album In The World Ever" which was a British import

  • needs more cowbell!

  • God bless the soul of Vince Crane. He was a great keyboards player at a time when he should have seen better prosperity for himself, as Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman and Jon Lord were carving a place for keyboards players alongside guitarists in Rock. Poor devil died penniless and mentally unwell. Bloody tragic that. God bless you Vincent.

  • Best band name ever in my opinion.

  • Never heard of them until now, and glad I did, this song is great!!

  • Saw them live several times they were awsome Vincent Crane was clearly mad but brilliant and Ric Parnell (son of big band leader Jack Parnell ) was a fantastic drummer.

  • 144 likes and 0 dislikes, thats awesome, that really says something about the Rooster. These guys rock!!!!

  • I love rooster! Discovered them late but I'm happy that I did!

  • never heard this before- damn this is good-There just isnt talent like this nowdays!!!

  • God, Atomic Rooster RULES!!

  • "Death walks behind you" was my very first LP i bought from my savings as a teenager. "Tomorrow night" and "Devil's answer" were great songs - this group had big potential. It was a shame that Vincent Crane had mental problems - he was a real genius and a very innovative keyboard player, arranger and composer. RIP. The commercial music today is nothing compared with those bands of the 70's. The music industry brainwashes us into listening to the shit they sponsor - i keep my ears closed for it !

  • Vincent was my cousin - I only met him once but I am proud to think he was related to me - a real keyboard innovator...I asked Carl Palmer about him years after he passed away - Carl remembered him as a bright star....

  • amazing intro!!

  • Vincent seemed to be a little difficult person but also really talented!

  • One of my favourite songs, I love Atomic Rooster :)

My favourite genre is AOR/'80s Hard'n'Heavy, but I love Heavy Psych and Progressive Rock typical of King Crimson, Gong, Family and Atomic Rooster, too!

    Thanks for posting! ;)

  • You're welcome.

  • Vincent Crane was such a talent ! Awesome organist/pianist and song writer ! RIP Vincent !

  • Interestingly awsome. Thanks for posting bud! (its amazing to me how amazing music like this is overlooked and forgotten, but people like Lady Gaga is idolized, ...No matter how hard I try..i dont get it. I was born in 93, but for some reason todays music just sucks. I have to always go back to the 60s,70s,80s, and 90s to enjoy true music, that actually took talent.

  • You're welcome and you have great taste in music.

  • ---Great song---

  • All of the progressive rock groups from the '70s were fantastic: Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Emerson Lake & Palmer, and Atomic Rooster! Long live vintage rock!!

  • Those were Just GREAT times for music!

What shit we have today sounding around...There is nothing today!

  • @DoNotObey1 Absolutely right.

  • I found Tomorrow Night by accident, when I was searching for pre-ELP bands' music. In a few weeks time all my roommates and our frequent guests were in deep love with this song, every time we crawled home from a party we held a short afterparty beginning with Tomorrow Night, it became on of our girlfriend's ringtone soon, so it reached immediate success after some 35 years of its release.

Tomorrow Night will always remind me of my university years!

  • What means VUG?

  • Comment removed

  • @Kostas4e Apparently their record label.

  • LOVE that intro! A very cool track. Great to hear all this stuff again. What a fantastic band they were.

  • kewl tune! :o)

  • What Rick says is true, as I is that 'next door neighbor', now we are two old rock and rollers. I also sold him his first drum set (the Remco Compact) which was my first drum set as well. He upgraded to a nice Slingerland and me Ludwig. Now he's 'paying it forward' to all you 'You Tubers'. (damn I'm proud of him!) I called him Ricky back then. LOL ps @Rick, didn't I 'expose' you to FZ as well? lol MJB youtube.com/watch?v=Ws5Xeu3BEQk

  • You are responsible for my musical direction from early on! Do you remember Captain Beyond?

  • @rickyon Fer Sure, I've got Sufficiently Breathless in my vinyl stack. I have to thank WHFS's DJ Little John and a DJ at WWDC (DC101 FM, I forgot his name), Kemp Mill Records for playing new stuff for while I was browsing the stacks. There was a cool chick who ran the one in College Park that played lots of good stuff. That's why to this day, I listen to albums not singles.

  • @rickyon what ever happened to rod evans?

  • Rod Evans was the singer for Deep Purple before Ian Gillan. He left Purple and formed Captain Beyond, an excellent band that was very influential but didn't sell many records. Evans retired from Capt. Beyond and music after 2 albums in 1973. In 1980 he put together a group of guys and started doing shows as Deep Purple. After a couple of shows ended in near riots and the band being sued by the Real Deep Purple Evans retired and became a respiratory specialist.

  • i have not listen to this song in 30 years. wow, thanks

  • You're welcome.

  • I can't believe I never heard of them before the BBC documentary recently. Now I've ordered everything off Amazon.

    More Cowbell!!!! ;-)

  • I used to play this song over and over and over again

  • Me too ;)

  • Friend had a cassette tape of a set of music from WBRU, Brown University in Providence Rhode Island. Recorded back in 1972 or so. Wore that tape out for many years well into college in the 70s. This song haunted me for years. Would play it over and over and over. Finally tracked it down years later. Even bought the LP album at one point. Now, just memories and Youtube. Thank you so much for posting

  • You're welcome!

  • One of my favorite bands along with War Horse and Captain Beyond all of the early 70's

  • Try Lucifer's Friend!

  • Captain Beyond was excellent! Sufficiently Breathless!

  • @MrIRONSKULL what ever happened to rod evans???

  • @MrIRONSKULL If you like Captain Beyond and Warhorse You gotta try Nick Simper's Fandango and Quatermass and Quatermass II!

  • MORE COWBELL

  • @revdoktorcrash bwahaha

  • Fresh as ever and a few years on. One of my many valued buys as a teenager.Great to hear it again.thanks for posting.

I just discovered Atomic Rooster and became a fan very soon!!

  • You're welcome. I've posted 3 or 4 more songs from the Rooster so check them out. You'll like all of them!.....Rick

  • This is Simon Goodiers backin track that he uses on smooth Fm.What a classic tune

  • This just gets the motor runnin'.

    Yeah! Solid, splendid hard rock.

  • Each time you comment Kathleen I end up listening to the whole song! I just can't help myself! Incredible sound from just three guys (no bass player)

  • Well, Darlin'

It just shows that you have excellent taste!

  • Damn straight!

  • Oh, just listen and enjoy. Splendid

  • Nice posting rickyon, was that really straight off the vinyl? The sound was great. My copy was left too close to a radiator some years back and went sort of crinkly.... Thank you so much.

  • You're welcome. Most of my postings are from I-tunes even though I have most of that same stuff on vinyl or cassette. A clean mp3 is preferable to a scratchy vinyl recording so I'll purchase it if I can find it. If not then it comes off of the old vinyl or cassette. This particular song is from I-tunes. The album from the 70's is long gone probably worn out in the 80's. Say hi to the Queen for me......Rick

  • Thanks for the speedy reply Rick. We have a lot to thank the digital age for! And thanks again for taking the trouble to post.

  • No trouble. I've posted a couple more from the Rooster and plan to do a couple more in the future. Enjoy!

  • This music makes me want to vote BNP a million times!!!!!

  • absolutly bewitching psychedelic progress hardrock hymn!!!!!!!!

  • Seeing long forgotten bands on Youtube has rekindled my interest and definitely inspired me to buy back- catalogue songs. Copyright owners should be more long-sighted. Thanks for uploading this!!!

  • You're Welcome. When I decided to check out this newfangled doohickey on the web I thought I died and went to heaven! It inspired me to share with others the cool stuff that I had and made me dig into the archives for more cool stuff! I just got a USB turntable that allows me to convert my old vinyl and my old cassettes into MP3's which I can then upload to You-tube so stay tuned!

  • I discovered Atomic Rooster a few days ago when a Swedish radio station had a special show on Peter French. And I must say that I'm damn glad I heard that show because they are excellent! I'm defiantly picking up the Anthology record that's being released in March!

  • You my friend are a perfect example of why all artists should allow their material to be posted on You-Tube! Did you know that at least 1/3 of everything I try to post gets rejected by the copyright owners. They think they're squeezing the last dime out of everybody and they just don't get that You-Tube leads to Sales. Well it's their loss. I have a couple more cool Rooster songs here as well as many great 70's tunes. Check them out and enjoy!

  • Exactly! It's madness!

I will defiantly check out your videos! And I must say thank you for sharing these with us.

  • You're welcome. Subscribe and you'll be notified when I post new stuff which is pretty frequently!

  • What you said is so true. This situation often happens when business and art mix
