The very first ones, indeed, had bearings that we less than ideal in the friction department. Subsequent ones are much easier to move, although there's a velocity-dependent safety brake to keep kids from getting it going *too* fast.
Museums and discovery centers are, in fact, the primary customers for these pieces. Trade shows round our our typical cast of customers.
Looks like the screen is a little hard to slide. But otherwise could be a neat exhibit for a museum or discovery center.
