I think he lives in constant turmoil around people. This behaviour keeps people at bay and they leave him alone. One day our sociaty will leave behind the 70s influence of gangster culture and come back to good heartedness and compassion for the people around us, until that happens guys like him and me will forever fear/mistrust the people around us and use scare tactics to keep people away.
