  • I hate breathing the exhaust when I'm walking and waiting for the bus...

  • You are fortunate to be in a good climate without a car. Winter can be harsh without a car. Sharing a car would be better in the north and harsh climates. Thanks for the videos!

  • I want to get away with not having a car for as long as I can, wherever I may live. Here in London having a car is actually a real pain in addition to being expensive. There is nowhere to park it for a start. I love walking into work in the mornings and getting everywhere by foot/public transport.

  • hope you have Bike Lic. George try 57 chevy, big V8 ,freedom ,leave mine alone,

  • I cant imagine not driving, all i do is drive, i´m a Cable Tech... on the road all day. But before it used to give me panic attacks and anxiety, i know what you mean.

  • When I lived in California, I found that it was very difficult without a car. Went without one for two - 6 month stints once. The BART/CalTrain - Bus Systems were okay but, they were pretty far away from the High Tech job centers. And the cost of living in the East Bay as opposed to the Peninsula was significant. I saved between $1,000 to $2,000 a month in rent in Fremont alone. So being car free can be very difficult in many ways when you work outside of the house.

  • my license was suspended for 7 years, so I understand

  • im one of the heavy people lol.

  • What kinda bike did you invest in?

  • road rage

  • we are sick because of the foods we eat.

  • and medicine we take

  • Nothing personal, George. But your generation , and younger, need to understand that ANXIETY IS A PART OF LIFE!! Th elast 30 yrs, it seems, every NORMAL feeling must be medicated!! I Applaud you for the bike!! I wish I could do that.. This generation of young parents who drug up their kids with some PRETEND Illness ( ADHD), is just frightening, this whole Big Pharma mentality. Like the Bumper sticker for a fictitios med reads "ASK YOUR DOCTOR FOR A REASON TO TAKE IT "!!

  • Driving is great. Sitting in traffic sucks. Owning car is costly. Riding a bike on a road with cars is fucking crazy. Its great if you have sidewalks and biking paths. Even walking along the road with traffic is dangerous. For all the problems of having a vehicle, its great to be able to go somewhere and not have to beg and plead to get someone to take you. Biking is fun. Great for short distances where you don't deal with cars. But, biking is something to do for fun.

  • @westin1985 Biking is only practical when the distances are manageable. For me, this is not the case, so I have to use a car. But most chronic degenerative diseases are related to our lifestyle choices, such as smoking, binge drinking, eating unhealthy and living a sedentary physically inactive lifestyle. If you have the possibility to use a bike, then do it by all means! Otherwise you have to think of some other ways to get exercise, which is harder mentally.

  • I decided to get into shape last year, and stopped driving for 2 months, walked or rode a bicycle everywhere (gym, store, beach, etc). I lost 25 pounds of fat, went from a 40 waist to a slim 36.

  • Totally agree, 85% sheeple/ostrics, still driving out there.

  • people are obese not because of cars but because of high fructose corn syrup and the lack of nutrition in the foods we eat.

  • I spent 5 years living on bike. I traveled very far too. You are right on track. Excellent.

  • @stuzapusa very cool. did you bring a tent. where did you camp usually?

  • @george4title Spot camping. When you have good gear you can camp anywhere you like without a tent. I started with a Military down bag and the waterproof shell. Emergency blanket as tent when needed, but urban survival. Is there a school nearby? Use the.. Anyways, Society is all around. Yes I had a tent and it worked when I needed it. Got rid of it latter when I had understood what I planned. I've slept under the leaves between 3 boulders in NC state collage woods while holding a Job. 7-11 Wash.

  • @george4title Last note. When sleeping use a bungee cord connected to your bike from your shoe. If it gets pulled away you may feel it. Out in the Wild.

  • It's a risk and reward thing. Yea there are a lot of benefits to not driving but you are forgetting the benefits. Getting from point A to point B a fraction of the time it would take to walk or drive is priceless. The extra hours you are riding your bike you could be spending with your kids, exploring online revenues, writing, talking to people, etc. Save riding a bike for when you are retired or a kid. You are fooling yourself George. You need to drive even in a downturn.

  • @RubberWilbur One might not be able to afford to drive in a downturn. Cars are very expensive to maintain. Like George I proudly no longer own a car. I don't miss it. It was a shackle to me. I felt like a slave to the DMV and to people wanting rides. Now I'm free of cops mostly and there is no pressure because of saying no because one wants a ride.

  • Even though I love driving it scares the hell out of me which is why I bought a decen sized truck. The 2nd girl I ever had sex who was a stripper died in a horrible car crash. The 17 year old grocery store bagger girl at my small town grocery store who I had seen died in a solo car crash after losing control and burned to death. And an assistant baseball coach i had and who was the father of a classmate in school died in a head on collission. Those unknowns freak me out.

  • @EWOKCAD One can die in a truck too. I know someone that did.

  • @jimbobubbadj

I know im just saying its less likely. Plus mine has side air bags too like all the newer models so its just one more thing. What truck was it and how did it happen? Side collission? Rollover?

  • @EWOKCAD It was a head on collision with a bridge support. The guy was drunk according to the police report.

  • @jimbobubbadj

Thanks. Bridge support yeah pretty dangerous cause there is no give in the collission. I dont plan on driving drunk and I dont speed even a little. LOL

  • His reading list is in his video Preparing For Peak Oil - Part 4 of 4 2:52 I read some the books Kuntzsler was difficult for me he likes to use words that are uncommon this causes you to have to have a dictionary handy. The others are a breeze to read. I am not a dumb ass but I didn't go to college to learn literature etc I went to school to make better money. Make a list go to the library you will LOVE the books especially BETTER OFF by "Eric Brende"I think? RON PAUL 2012

  • I love driving. If you have a wife to drive you around and you have to deal with kids I could see how you wouldn't want to drive but as a single guy driving is not only a necessity but its a requirement for fun.

  • I love driving.

  • G in GD1 we were more prepared to take on poverty almost everybody had something growing. They had hogs, milk cow, caught their own fish used those guts to fertilize the ground. Back then they didn't have to contend with the fire ant you grow here now and the garden will be infested with fire ants you have to watch so you don't get tore up by them. Now we are in GD2 people are extremely venerable bc of gov regulations. Homeless are to hide if not they get arrested sent to privatized prisons.

  • Driving is a natural human right. Problem is that the propoganda is so entrenched into the human mind at an early age. Want to get into a car and drive? its easy! It's natural! What's unnatural is the governmental regulation. People need to grow a spine and start fighting for their right to drive.

  • I would love it if I didn't have to take care of a car. It cost $600 a year to insure the thing I have to pay for tires wiper blades seems I get it washed once a week and drive it 3 times a week. I do my own oil changes that saves some money. I would probably decide to quit driving in Ca too. Here in La you can drive like a dam fool you can roll a stop sign in front of the law they don't stop you cause they know you are trying to save fuel. The Amish laugh at us with gyms Ron Paul 2012.

  • @cdltpx sounds like you know what you are talking about

  • @george4vlogging I read some of the books suggested by Mrenergytzar. Those books gave you a totally different prospective. One was of a man that decided to live with a sect like the Amish he had plenty to learn both he and his wife he was in college at the time of the experiment he ended up making major life changes and settled in Mo where he could get by without a car. I forgot the name of the book but I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I have got to get walking every day too gotta drop 100lbs.

  • Hey George you ever thought about getting one of those stupid Segways so you can look like a dork going down the sidewalk?

  • @valhala56 nope

  • Pretty soon George a lot of people will be carless. Unlike you it will not be by choice, When the SHTF in Iran and they bomb the f@ck out of the Straits of Hormuz gas will be....well lets say a scarce commodity.

WW3 will make a lot of people into George4titles.

  • @valhala56 not counting on it. I do notice a lot of reckless drivers out there

  • You make some good points George..i can relate, my car broke down recently and i didn't have the money to buy a new one, so i had to bus it everywhere..IT WAS A COMPLETE LIFESTYLE CHANGE FOR ME..it took me forever to get anywhere and i lost weight busing and walking...it was a real eyeopener for me and how much my life revolves around having a vehicle..

  • @realdealio1 yeah. ditch the bus if the the trip is only a few miles. bike it

  • yeah happened to me too, that's why i stopped driving as much, i now go close to the same place where that happened to me and i watch people cross the line just by a little with a happy smirk on their face not knowing they will just get screwed

  • Do you ever get attacked by dogs while riding? That's happened to me a few times. That's why I carry bear spray.

  • @vention4wh nope never. dogs don't chase me. dogs don't scare me anymore. i spend too much time on the streets

  • @george4vlogging

That's right, you mentioned in a video how dogs like you, probably because you're outside a lot.

Oh well. I'll have to rely on bear spray. I had 2 pit bulls attack me a couple years back. I would have been mauled without it. But man it's amazing stuff. One shot of bear spray and they become whiny little yelping puppies, blindly staggering back to their home, while seconds before they were aggressive dangerous animals ready to cause serious injury.

  • @vention4wh That stuff burns like fire on man or beast.

  • I was able to last two years without a car, but I'm happy that (for now) you're doing better than before.

  • Thats kind of like when I go to the bar, they are baffled by the fact I ride my bike instead of drive when I do have a car.

  • @DIJV79 lol

  • @george4vlogging You need to get you some Ho-Chi Minh Racing Slicks, G4T. Leave some REAL rubber on the road when you somewhere walking.

  • @DIJV79 I know people that still drive around on tractors while they get drunk because you can't run one over 20 mile an hour. Some still ride horses or mules, and when they get too wasted...the horse or mule will drive themselves home, and that is not a joke. Old tricks are the best ones.

  • George have you tried medical marijuana? CA has good laws for this. For some people it helps with anxiety. If not, don't judge till you tried. :)

  • @GypsyHustled not for me, very easy to get here.

  • @george4vlogging It actually increases some peoples anxiety.

To me it is "NATURAL" to have anxiety now.

My daughter doesn't like going shopping with me or out in public with me anymore. She says that people are so depressed and their energy is "grey" now.

It's so depressing mom. And I have to agree with her IT IS.

We are blesed to live in the country and not have to go out but every couple of weeks.

Keep talking George. Love & Light to you and yours.

  • @GypsyHustled I bought some silver sativa coins for my nephews. Dittos about not judging reefer.

  • @jimbobubbadj

Drugs never solve anything. Hookers do though! LOL

  • @GypsyHustled It's against the will of Jesus. He saideth, do not smoketh the ganja.

  • I'm first yeah.
