  • Can you tap the 5v wire an ground wire to fool the ECM into thinking the engine has a larger amount of air to add fuel?

You can do this on a diesel but it's called a (smoke switch) I have one on my diesel. But I was always curious as if u could do it to a gasoline.

Mainly for more fuel to go faster.

  • On a 2000 chevy cavalier its right up front next to the carbeurator under the air cleaner hose. Your car will stall or fluxuate at stop signs if your map sensor is bad. The part cost about $50. If that aint the problem try your catalytic converter.

  • Cool! My civic revs up and then down and then up.. and then down when ti's idleing and I think the MAP sensor needs to be replaced.. that's just my guess.

  • Dude that is your FITV have you been able to solve that problem? Many shops usually change your IACV and it doesn't help.

  • Hmm nope I haven't looked into it yet, my dad has been away. the problems comes and goes. I'll tell him about your FITV theory when he gets back in a few days (he's a mechanic and we're working on it together) thanks!

  • Awesome video! Thank you for sharing bro! :)))))

  • Are all map sensors wired in the same way. I have a Vauxhall Astra and wondered whether the middle is always the signal, left always the feed, etc.

  • would it work with a turbo?

  • I believe the "piezo-resistive resistance" should additionally have negative deflection to translate positive pressure into voltage.

  • you will need to clamp your voltage so your ecu doesn't see boost. And you will need a method of compensating for the additional fuel needed. The cheap/easy method is an FMU that just inreases fuel pressure based on load. A car not normally turbocharged will usually throw an ECU code because the map voltage will be out of range. do some research on turbo hondas. there's lots of info out there.

  • This is a wonderfull information.
