  • JEWEL*

  • INDEPENDENT FABRICATION CROWN JEWL ALL PRO COMPONENTS $2500 PM ME

  • Haha a road bike for 100? Just get a skateboard then... If you want a road bike you're going to spend at least 1000$. And that's without all the gear.

  • @SypherDubstep Well, its not a chopper, its just an old ladies bike, but for me it functions as a cruiser!

  • @SypherDubstep Haha, well theres a backside to every coin... The pros with my bike is that its extremely cool and good looking- no one has one that looks like mine. And its a total cruiser thats easy to ride :)

  • @Tayrte None entry level road bike is about $600 you can get some at walmart for $200 but its the most basic thing you can get and would not compare.

  • @Tayrte d

  • @Tayrte this site bicycling.webs.com

  • @Tayrte Ummmmm....Nope!!

  • Short and sweet. Good video!

  • @merkyourfaceoff i bike is considered a vehicle you idiot its illegal to ride a bike on da sidewalk

  • @juniorDUHH like DUHH!! who cares

  • @juniorDUHH How is it considered a vehicle prick if it does not have a motor??? I will ride my back on sidewalk when ever i want.

  • @juniorDUHH Not it here, where I am in FL it's not. Bikes can be ridden on sidewalks as long as the cyclist obeys the same laws as pedestrians, and give pedestrians the right of way.

  • @juniorDUHH ahhhhhhh.....you are just a fool........

  • @juniorDUHH You should check all the countries rules before you call everyone an idiot! I think that name might belong to the man without doing his homework.

  • @juniorDUHH Laws about riding bikes is different in each City. My city allows riding bikes on a sidewalk whereas the city next over, which has pretty much a bike lane in every street, you have cannot ride your bike on the sidewalk.

  • @juniorDUHH Not in England its not :)

  • Really straightforward and informative, thanks for the vid!

  • What would be a good starter road bike?

  • what madone series is that bike its beautiful. please reply thanks

  • What a beautiful machine </3

  • Send your irritating questions to:

    Kevin Livingston

    11309 Aden Court

    Austin, TX 78739

  • Clean your bike's component with jet pressure after every ride ,especially if like me ,you're cycling near salted waters.

  • @awesomeposssum I don't recall seeing a picture of a Roman driving a car or an English Civil War soldier on a motorbike in my country. These roads are as old as Nero...

  • I want a bike so badly

  • @xNickPwnsYoux Same here... Right now I am using a womans bike from the 50s, its incredibly small and well its slow lol

  • i really like your bike

  • reflectors on a roadbike ???

  • reflectors in a roadbike ??

  • I'm 16 should I get a road bike?

  • @xNickPwnsYoux i am in the exact same position and i feel i want to buy a road bike because road biking on a mountain bike isnt to easy.

  • @xNickPwnsYoux yes, but don't be cheap expect to drop atleast $700 , if ur still growing maybe wait until you stop to get one tho

  • @awesomeposssum wait a minute...are you accusing cyclists of intentionally going slow just to hold up traffic? and yeah, running read lights is bs.

  • @ehsoftjunkie not accusing all of them just some of them.

  • whats the difference if the bar that goes straight across is slanted a little?

  • comeone. who the hell does this before every ride?

  • @zazenzach I do. I got my first carbon about a month ago, and im still getting used to that plastic sound, I feel like im gonna break it but its actually stronger than my old Lemond Etape aluminum. (btw, its a 2011 scott CR1 team).

  • @zazenzach You really should check to make sure your wheels are properly set in the dropouts, the tires are properly inflated, the brake pads aren't rubbing on the sidewalls and the headset is tight. I can imagine the latter would be fairly important on a carbon bike. Imagine a little play in the headset, and you hit a big bump. Then imagine the headtube shattering. At 25 or 30 mph. I don't want to be on that bike ... or behind it.

  • I got a scott CR1 COMP 2010 FOR SALE £600 LONDON

  • mmmmmm... if i close my eyes it sounds like josh dehmell talking sweetly to me about bikes...

  • mmmmmm... if i close my eyes it sounds like josh dehmell talking sweetly to me about bikes...

  • que bike da hora

  • ooooh! nice bike!

  • Hello, In Canada do you ride your bike on the sidewalk on the road, I'm worrie people would yell at me if im riding on the road

  • what kind of bike is that

  • That's a nice bike what's the model of the bikw, I'm gonna buy a bike and that one cough my eyes. Help :(

  • Sweet looking bike. I want one.

  • i have trek too but my is a moutain bike :)

    hi from Croatia!

  • That is a nice bike...

  • Aw man i wish i could afford a bike like that. Everyone else seems to have a better bike tham me!

  • @atalayapark The bike itself is merely a tool that YOU instrument. Take pride in what you have and flex your humility. -- Its what I do everyday!

  • @iamrobbyah that my friend, is very true. Thanks :)

  • @atalayapark Its nice to have an expensive bike but we all know of people with these machines who get dropped by stronger fitter riders on old Reynolds 531 vintage . The cost and weight of the bike makes only a tiny difference in speed.....nothing a few extra training miles would wipe out.

  • trek madone nice

  • General maintenance tips. BUY ALL PARTS ONLINE AND NOT FROM THOSE BIKE RIPOFF SHOPS!

  • Flanders

  • I dont get why Trek made a new geometri on their bikes. The bikes after 2007 are cool compared to bikes from other companies. But they aren´t as cool as the madones from 2007 and before that.

  • I have been looking for a decent bike but cant find one. All of them have a seat 7 ft above the handle bars and the handles are 7 inches below the front axle. I wont say what it looks like the rider is ready and waiting for.

    I want a 1950 schwinn

  • @Oldone11 that's because most bikes are generally overpriced pieces of crap. find something with a shaft drive. or you can wait 20 years for me to release my own brand of bike with a single sided swing arm front and rear with a ton of standard components for under $500

  • This is extremely helpful!

  • I have a GMC denali road bike 21 speed it wasn't real expensive but compared to one that is a couple thousand dollars is there any big differences from compared to a cheaper bike

  • @talkercv while the GMC denali is a decent bike for how cheap it is, there really is no comparison to this and the bike in this video. the main differences are componentry, you can't really tell just by looking at it, but the frame on a bike like this is actually aluminum compared to a cheap steel frame on the denali. the other thing is the shifters, on the denali it has grip shifters like on a mountain bike, while a higher quality bike has integrated shifters, which are right on the brake lever

  • @Beaster456 Im looking to buy a bike because I can no longer run from soccer and wrestling injuries. You mentioned that the GMC denali is a steel frame, which to me sounds like it would be more sturdy than a aluminum frame. Im a heavier set person (250) so would this GMC bike be perfect?

  • awesome road bike

  • így kell milliós bicikliről beszélni retek szarok között :DDD

  • is a bike rear light important?

  • @darkskullxxx very, you want to be as visible to other people as possible!

  • @pinje but rear lights look really ugly on BMX bikes, and i barely go on any road except crossing traffic lights.

  • Thanks for the useful vid !

  • I also want this bike ;)

  • Better free ecologic biking than pride of MY FAST super CAR.

  • Dude... what's with the $2 light reflector on that bike?

  • @Yoglawm, they have to sell it with the reflectors on, it's like that in all bike shops, everyone just takes them off when they get them home.

  • I've got the same bike :D (and ride it to work every single day :) )

However i've been told to keep the tire pressure at 7 bars not 8 =o

Too bad some people in london can't park or drive properly their cars ;(

  • Thanks, great video to use on my blog!

  • When I assemble the Madones I never but on the reflectors! But, I always ask if the purchaser wants them...guess you guys have to stay legal, eh?

  • @merkyourfaceoff Not slowing down traffic, we are traffic. Enjoy paying your gas, insurance, parking costs. I'll just keep riding for free, parking wherever I want, getting exercise while I commute and not impacting the environment around me, or forcing my government to invade a foreign country for more oil so that I can drive 5 blocks.

  • @alcoholidaze

Hey retard you know that bike your riding on? How you think the road got there for you to ride your pretty little bike on? A truck that gets 3MPG that is not made to follow even the most basic city smog test drove there and magically the road appeared. Of course maybe not recently but a long time ago trees were cut down and birds were killed to put that road there. Does your bike chain use oil? Oh ok? Get a clue and stop acting like captain planet because you ride a bike.

  • @alcoholidaze well said lad :D

  • @alcoholidaze And remember a lot of us have family who choose to drive AND pay road tax. Our lives aren't worth any less than theirs : )

  • @alcoholidaze enjoy going slowly and being sweaty when you arrive at wherever location you are headed toward, having helmet hair, chance getting hit by a car at low speeds and either being splattered and killed or paralyzed and maimed. I'll just keep driving a car, parking in the multitude of open spaces, having air conditioning and or a heater, and smelling quite nice upon arrival.

  • @alcoholidaze wOw...! I salute your for your courage and ethical spirit!

    That's instinct!

  • @alcoholidaze sorry to break this to you but actually bicycle tires are partly made out of oil. we're not actually 100%, you know

  • @merkyourfaceoff

Yo u wanna chill and not be a total dick

  • I'm new to road biking and this guy has really helped me out his broad range of videos. Thanks Dude!!

  • I,m new to road biking and this guy has really helped me out his broad range of videos. Thanks Dude!!

  • so hand soap???

  • what's the wheel in the background @ 2:03 (the bike in the air - Front Wheel) anyone know?

  • @FUSER2K07 Guessing it's a HED Tri spoke

  • @KlassiKX2 thanks mate! just what i was looking for :)

  • Great videos - even i learnt stuff after 20yr of riding...

  • nice video man,

anyway why didn't you go and ride the bike for while?

    don't tell me you can't.

  • I think this Chap is about the best for explaining stuff, you can understand what he is saying. Most American Bike Videos you find it hard to understand them properly but this is the exception, Good Videos.

  • i thort he said "hi, im Ken Livingstone"

  • i'd tap that

  • can someone tell me where is this store located?

  • would sell my mother for that bike

  • hahaha nice vedio do u hear the beautiful sound of rear free hub

  • Cool

  • That bike is sick.

  • I WISH I HAD A BIKE LIKE THAT

  • wayy better than stupid ehows vids...

  • in the title i thought it said how to mountain your road bike lmao

  • @benrush17

Shops have to sell bikes with reflectors. Once a customer buys it they can take them off. But the shop has to sell them with reflectors.

  • put those reflectors down... or if you have em you forgot to put your side stand on ;) joke :P but i really hate those reflectors... if i ride in the dark i put LED lights on and use a headlamp in front combined with white strobe...

  • I am going to call Kevin to let him know about the recent debut of VELOSHINE bike wipes.

  • what is the model of the bike, where can I buy it and what is the price?

  • @nailartstyle trek madonne, in a shop and price is for rich people

  • love the bike!!!!

  • That's the Trek Madone 6.9 Pro 2008/2009 Model I believe.

  • what oil should i use for my gears and chain after i degrease them ?

  • what size tires are those? are they 28 or 32 cause im gonna buy thick tired for slick

  • @tenchufreak they are definitely 700cm

  • @CAPTAIN72727 Maybe you mean 700c. Nothing on a bike is 276 inches...

    Anyways, they're probably 700x23c or 25c. I don't think they're 28c.

  • @timmook --The diference between PRO´s and AMATEUR is the details...

  • @manfio22

check out. that is not the difference.

  • nice reflector.

  • @timmook LMAO

  • really nice trek

  • @timmook wow, you're really really dumb.

  • @timmook That "pussy" is a professional who rode the Tour De France. That "pussy" has more talent on a single inch of his body than you do overall. I do all of that, PLUS more to maintain the bike that I paid 6 grand for. I'm sorry that some of us actually take care of the things we work hard to earn. Faggot.

  • Comment removed

  • not worth doing all that cleaning.. I rather change the chain after a few years.. or change another component instead of cleaning for hours... maybe that´s just me (and I´m not particulary rich)

  • @narognarog A clean bike (or anything mechanical for the matter) will run better than a dirty bike. A clean chain keeps the rest of your components decently clean and therefore they will perform better and last longer.

  • ha! wow! does he think people do that kind maintenance every time they ride their bike?

  • @123adrianramirez if you have spend $10 000 on a bike you do.

  • very nice video... i really want that madone road bike :).i love to have one.

  • Apart from cervelo... I have Wilier :-)

  • @portorarower93 Big love for the wilier :D, awesome bikes.

  • the best bike in the world the madone bikes!!

  • Nice stuff!

  • What bike is this

  • Trek 5.x

Very nice bike. I would LOVE one!

  • Great, concise video

  • Excellent Video - short and very useful...Thanks

  • is that a madone?

  • @teamkvs It most certainly is, a madone 6.5 worth about 7 grand

  • what a beauty, the bike.

  • Não entendi nada!

  • Oh my God isn't that the $10,000 Trek racing bike? O.O

  • yes, with reflectors :D

  • yes it is. WOW!

  • what bike is that. it looks like my bike trek 1.2

  • nice video!

  • how the hell yo change the velocity

  • why is his voice harder to hear when he is talking to the camera? Is there a mic on the bike?

  • no it's on his shirt and when he looks down at the bike is voice is going into the mic

  • useful video. send me one of those bikes please?

  • @crazy4her lolz

  • @crazy4her hey, sometimes i will get onto potholes. should i get a mountain bike or this ? coz my house area have alot of potholes.

  • @nightubble common sense dip shit

  • @crazy4her These days almost all carbon frames are made from a only a handful of slightly different moulds in Taiwan or China and in the same factory, and then different names stuck on.

Gone are the days when Bianchis' were made in Italy, Massi in Spain , what Im trying to say is that all frames are as good as each other now , when a frame had to be brazed or silver soldered the skill of the builder determined the finished frame as to how good it felt .

  • @pedalman i know what you mean, but inorder to make it economical, it has to be mass produced, the Japanese found a balance between the two with their lean production lines.

  • @EpiDemic117 You are exactly right, production price is why nearly all manufacturers now have factories in China.

Its not a bad thing 'cos manufacturers tool up by taking their own production machinery and facilities to China so quality is the same, the only difference is the cheaper workforce who are very good at their jobs.

Carbon frames are all the same now , non are better or worse, only the name differs but people still prefer to argue their favorite...Does it comes down to advertising?

  • @pedalman carbon fiber is AWESOME, probably Necessary for ultralight bikes that are meant for speed. but my idea was to use cheaper aluminum which is more economical and better suited for recreational use.

  • @EpiDemic117 Ok I see what you are saying , you are probably right again, for recreational use yeah why use carbon...unless mega wealthy

I had an aluminium "Allan" frame many years ago, you'll remember they were glued together ,big chunky lugs it was a very soft frame no stiffness at all, it felt bendy compared to a brazed Reynolds or Columbus frame but as you say it might work for anything other than pure racing. I havn't used a "welded" alloy frame so they might be much better.

  • @pedalman I think the reason why they where so soft back then was because they never heat treated the frame like they do now, which does something with it's molecular structure making it stronger.
