  • Please watch our old version of Territories of the Breast trailer

    youtube.com/watch?v=hKgL90hTkR8&playnext_from=TL&videos=lAh7TZ8kw4s

Thanks for your support and kindness

  • It is very rare when we have the opportunity to hear the voices of women of color discuss, honestly and openly, the inequities of our health care system. This courageous film, profoundly provides us that important perspective, without question! Thank You, Sonia Baez-Hernandez, for your vision and strength!!!

  • The trailer is poetic, beautifully filmed and very powerful with personal stories that raise important issues that have not been addressed and discussed enough. I look forward to seeing the full film. Hopefully you will have a screening in NYC soon!

    Keep Creating Sonia!

  • Artistic, powerful and on point! This film represents a great opportunity to use as a highly effective educational tool for ourselves, our organizations, our workplaces and our communities. The film makes it quite clear, that access to good health care, is a human rights issue that can't be ignored. We must raise our voices on behalf of the 47 millon uninsuered human beings of this nation! Let's support this film by purchasing copies as soon as it become available! Great job Sonia!

  • This is an important message that I hope all politicans and uninformed against the national health plan get to see

no one should die of illness because they can not have a basic screening

    Are you listening out there

    Well done Sonia

  • Thanks Rosie. As a minority, I know all too well about the racial and ethnic disparity that exists -- regardless of income or insurance coverage. Even yesterday, when I asked questions about the treatment regimen the doctor was surprised. I told him that this is the only life that I have and I want to have some say so about the decisions. Thank you Sonia for bringing this out in the open, because minorities deserve the same level of healthcare as whites. But is is incumbant on us to demand it.

  • Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us. Very well done, the trailer definitely makes me want to watch the full documentary.

  • Very moving. It is clearly personal yet avoids being sad. and is well documented. This is a a powerful, timely message that is professionally presented without being slick.

  • This is beautifully done Sonia! And so true-- this is the richest country and yet its citizens must work in order to get medical care... and not even good thorough care if they're not wealthy. Good work!

  • Excellent documentary! This is the kind of work that we should promote and support. The documentary shows how serious the situation is for so many Latino and poor women in the US.

  • Thank you for taking this on --- Health Care Reform is urgent --- not only for the poor but those who cannot afford Regular PREVENTIVE CARE

  • When it comes to breast cancer, until we erradicate the disease, we need all the positive publicity we can get. This is not just a black, white, rich, poor, or celebrity disease. When one is touched by breast cancer your life is forever changed. Yes we need some type of healthcare, but we all need to bring the insurance and pharmaceutical companies down to earth. Billions are being made at our expense. There is still a stigma in the employment arena. , try and prove discrimination!

  • This trailer exposes the personal drama of being sick, the injustice of lack of equality in the access to quality health care for all, and the humanity of those who fight against potentially insurmountable foes. Besides, this is a beautiful work of artistry. The documentary should be accessible to all those who otherwise may not see what is happening or where to find hope. Timely discussion. Great job.

  • Why is there so much silence about this inequity? Thankfully there are those who will not be silenced who will not put up and shut up. Because you lead we can follow. Viva!

  • The trailer reveals the lack of quality health care for the uninsured. For example violations of patient's' rights, lack of resources, and early screening. It shows the interconnection of the social issues and art. Excellent

  • Great work Sonia! The issue of health services for minorities is one which needs the immediate attention of our national legislature as related to the National Health care discussion!

  • WOW!!! Powerful message!

  • WOW powerful message!!!!

  • Yes....definite....we need the Heal-Care Reform Urgent !!!.... Our people need it. Ours kids are suffering every day...Please Legislature give the attention to this important matter. Thank you for understand...

  • Health-Care

  • Looks like an incredible and informative documentary. My grandmother is a survivor of breast cancer, and since she has been diagnosed, huge leaps in medical technology has been made...so many options now than back in her day--and she beat it!!! Thx for sharing, and for caring enough to keep us informed about this serious topic. Cheers:)

  • This video is an excerpt from a very powerful documentary film. I highly recommend it for university and community screenings. Do contact the directors of this film and schedule a screening soon!!

  • Just a great informative video. And to think there are those that don't think we need health care reform. Amazing!
