After 30 minutes and damaging the back of the phone because there are absolutely NO instructions that come with the phone on how to do this, I wish I would have seen this video first. You can bet the a-holes that did not include the instructions on how to perform this task will be hearing from me. Idiots.

Thanks brownhandz for saving my day. My first blackberry actually slid off upon pressing the latch. The get started guide for the new 9650 said press the latch and SLIDE OFF the battery cover...so I was trying to slide it off for 15 mins, before checking out your video. How hard is it to say LIFT OFF instead of SLIDE OFF in the guide? You MORONS at BlackBerry^!*?!*&

Based on booklet, the diagram looked like you slide if off rather than pull it towards you. Having video really make is obvious what to do - so thanks! The manual actually says "slide" it off which is NOT what you do. You actually press the button and "pull" it off.

Awesome. Instructions that came with my BB9650 were absolutely unhelpful. I kept trying to slide the door down (which is how my Blackberry 8830 worked) -- no go. Your video cleared it right up. THANKS!
