  • They opened for Black Sabbath in Lincoln Ne around 1976, great show from what I remember. Wow those were the days.

  • Total Kick-Ass American Rock & Roll !!. Saw them open for Triumph in Rochester, N.Y. at the Auditorium Theatre back in 1979 they almost stole the show but Triumph had the blinding light show and i was trippin' on Purple Micro Dot you know the deal !!!!!!

  • These guys were an excellent kick-em-out band. They played in the cafeteria when I went to college in the late 60s. They were 1 of 4 bands in a fantastic concert at Univ of Detroit - the other 3 were Mashmakhan, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and 3 Dog Night (who didn't take the stage until 12:20 AM) Camcorders were born too late!

  • Henry weck is my buddy--what a fuckin drummer!

  • I know Cub --mike and H-bomb- Henry-- the best band that ever hit Michigan--I still play guitar and will make sure Brownsville will live on----I am a guitarist from Jackson-Mich---you people do not know me but i will play the NO/BS Lady Jane--i think you know what i can do!! Lady is Cubs wife-- It will be done!!!

  • he looks like a girl..........l.o.l.

  • The guy you think looks like a girl is my guitar teacher.

  • god damn it rock bands today suck ass compared to this high energy stuff from when i was a kid... miss seeing good shows like this. music today sucks ass.

  • the song is SWEET LTTLE ROCK'n'ROLLER, originally donne by chuck berry. dave edmunds did it on rockpile solo lp .LOVE THESE GUYS brownsville rules , saw them open up for johnny winter in jan 74, and may75 for foghat and blue oyster cult loud as hell !!!!!!!!

  • Michigan was the birthplace for good rock and roll music,,,, says,, flintstone

  • Yeah, Michigan is the birthplace of good Rock and Roll music if you ignore 10+ years of Rock and Roll history that happened before Michigan came up with Mitch Ryder. Perhaps you haven't heard of Fats Domino, Little Richard, or Chuck Berry (whom Brownsville is covering here on "Sweet Little Rock and Roller"), but they ain't from Michigan and they are damn good.

  • They are from the great louie-- by the way-my brother Little Richard pennimmen if i spelled it right is from Ann Arbor Michigan, say what ya want--- i have a band that will put Browsnville back on the map--i knew Cubby, and Henry, and Mike--get up and play your axe or shut -up!! Your choice sissy!!

  • Wow. Where to begin? 1. Little Richard is from Macon, Georgia (which, last time I checked, was not part of Ann Arbor, MI). 2. Congratulations on having a band. 3. Good, bring back Brownsville's style if you can. I'd welcome it. 4. Congratulations on knowing members of Brownsville Station. 5. I don't own a guitar. 6. That doesn't preclude me from commenting. Therefore... 7. not shutting up or playing guitar. (Bonus Point 8. Only Chuck Berry is from "Great Louie." Fats Domino's from New Orleans.)

  • Got ya satan sissy--you will be the first --know it all! Richard spent time in A2-yes he was born in Macon-but cut his teeth in the A2 Detroit area--yes Brownsville does more than smokin--and sit and realease your bowels, and make sure your boyfriend has the right amount of ky-jelly--whoo-hoo! ARF!

  • Too tone?

Get back to the Ska revival buddy, this is for Detroit rockers

And cut the homo jibes, it takes one to know one LOL

  • more cowbell !

  • The guy who jummped off the amps is my guitar teacher!!! He still keeps the long hair, and still teaches on the guitar he used in brownsville station! This is awsome!

  • mikelutz-- great guy!!

  • A very underrated band. Brownsville Station ROCKS!

  • Great stuff! Brilliant!

  • R.I.P. Cub Coda you were one of the best.

  • What happened to Cub?? I knew him but have not talked to him in years,Last i heard he was playing in a country band of all things.

  • Cub Coda died on July 1st 2000. He had kidney diease. he is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Waterloo Michigan.

  • Oh man sad to hear that.He must of been in bad shape. They sure could bring the house down, straight ahead assembly line rock n roll.Turn it up to ten and hang on for the ride.Thnx for the info.

  • post more b.v.s. if you have any,com on guys,,,

  • Watch Michael Lutz jump off the amps near the end.

  • Now that's the way you do it!

  • Outstanding performance!!

  • PLEASE POST MORE BROWNSVILLE STATION if you've got it !!!! Thanks

  • I used to see drummer Henry "H Bomb" Weck with a killer band called the Ohio Power back in Dayton, Ohio. That band influenced me about as much as anyone because they were so powerful and so good. The band had a great guitar player named Dave Langstaff who later wrote most of their original tunes ("Sunken Ships," etc.) I wonder if anyone out there remembers this band and how good they were.

  • love this band,,,,alan uk

  • "Basketball Jones" was a song by Cheech & Chong (dunno who the musicians on it were, though).

    :)

  • Did they sing a song named Basketball Jones?? How awesome is it that we can hear this after all these years.

  • This song is "Sweet Little Rock'n'Roller", not Kings of the Party. Thanks for the footage though.

  • ¡¡¡MArTian Boogie!!!

  • rock and roll!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • anyway... in some way it really changed the fuckin´world... I´m still a believer

  • this is from back when we knew, without a doubt, that rock and roll could change the world. OK, we were pretty silly to believe that, but, I, for my account, was VERY young.

  • Hi originaltbyrd,

I agree with you.We were VERY YOUNG but WE WERE VERY, VERY HAPPY too.
