The Torsen is a theoretically perfect differential, you could make the torque bias so high that lock up would be possible w/o brakes, but the gears would see much more stress and the strengh & weakness of our current metals start to show. Sacrificing some traction for reliability is not a bad trade off. ;)
Yes i'm sure that Torset T2 = Detroit Truetrac = Quaife. I have Quaife model, not disc LSD. I'm sure because i'm install it few days ago. It works only if it is difference in torque between wheels. So if you just lift one wheel it works like open diff, if you use hand brake it works like ATB diff.
he is testing rear dif lock :) and it works perfect.. great test. thanks...

Are you sure that detroit true track and torsen differential is same?
I think you have got ordinary LSD locker, wich worcks on high torque
