go into the main menu, then go to settings, general, and shake to shuffle should be listed there. just click it and it should turn on.

I hate this because i'm clumsy and I drop it and change the song a lot. And I don't wanna turn it off cause its kinda cool when I actually want the song to change -_- they should make an app for nanos since it has some sorta sensor o_O

I think that feature is stupid, unnecessary, and makes it easier for something to go wrong. Imagine there is some kind of a sensor for the shaking action, and it breaks; I am not sure if there is the original shuffle feature, but if there is not and it breaks, you would not be able to shuffle songs. Also, if someone had arthritis or other pains/difficulty involving their hand, they may not be able to shake something like that. Anyway, that is just my view.

I have some wrist issues and I believe it's still possible to shuffle using your elbow as an axis, but I'm a drummer so I have to be creative to make a lot of moves that were pretty trivial before, so maybe others will have more problems. And yeah, it's pretty useless but definitely cool.

there still is the old shuffle option. as well as the option to turn off the shuffling this way. so no problem

the problem might be for the pixels... shaking LCD's not too good i hear :/

Im enjoying my 4g so far. People say tht you have to shake your ipod like a madman in order to shuffle, but I found that all it takes is a single jerk in any direction. But its cool because I did the good ole' jogging/running test, the song never switched.

you have to do it quite vigorously to make it shuffle..i don't think walking or anything would shuffle it tbh?

I can shake it once towards the left pretty hard and it'll shuffle just from that. You have to move your wrist in one big motion for the best effect, IMO.

you need to kind of jerk it, instead of shaking it. at first mine didnt work, but then i realised i was doing it wrong. just do it how they do it in the vid and it'll work.
