I play a similar game I made called "Varsity Bowl." I made it up, it's a football board game with players made of card stock and the field made of posterboard. You make a play, then offense going first, each player has 3 seconds to move up to 3 players on their team until a tackle, touchdown, or field goal. It's really fun, and I might make a website with parts to make your own teams and stadiums. It's mainly high school, but can be middle school, pee wee, college, or pro as well.

We too had a league from 1977 to 1987 called th MFL The Miniature Football League. I' ve recently revived the MFL. I now have the Merger original 26 plus Seattle and Tampa Bay. All the teams are hand painted in throwback uniforms from 1970 to 1980. The MFL also use the old alignment. ( west, central, east) But more important, the MFL teams are in HOME and AWAY uniforms. 14 game scheduel, 12 team playoffs all leading to MINI BOWL ONE. I'm currently in week # 4.

I live in Brooklyn where the Tudor factory was located until they closed down in the early 90's. Electric football was a culture here, to the point where we'd go through the trash at the factory to pull men from the garbage. It was also in a tough part of Brooklyn...those Ft. Greene guys would try to rob you for your money going there. LOL!!!

im 56 now and used to have an electric football game. i even went so far as to cut off thier arms and torso to re-construct the form by melting the players arms and legs back together in true football positions, used little pieces of rolled up chewing gum for neck collars and painted my men in nfl uniforms with a paper match and sharpened broom straw!

You can throw the ball by using the kicker, or you can use aluminum foil like we did...You have to be creative and use your imagination with this game....

How can you not be happy to see a bunch of guys getting so happy and involved in a harmless hobby! That's really awesome. I would LOVE to see a FAMILY FEUD between these guys and the pasty 35 year olds that stay up until 5am every day playing World of Warcraft or Call of Duty.
