I thought doing bench dips like this can put excess pressure on the knees, causing them to hyper extend. Truejusticevoice may be a bit brash but he does have a point aren't parallel bars better for dips or is there something in your form that I don't know about?
Great video! I'm a fairly new NPC competitor, and very new to YouTube. I subscribed to your channel because you are so personable on your Facebook page, and, of course, to get great workout tips! I do these dips as a warm-up on arm day too! I love them! Maybe you could give me some video tips too :) Mine are pretty basic, but I'm learning! Thanks for doing what you do, you're an inspiration!
Post the video of you maxing on dips, it's always inspiring because a lot of guys will watch this an increase their fitness level because of you. Bye , i love you by the way.
@Truejusticevoice Constructive criticism is welcome - however, this comment is neither constructive nor informative. Both exercises have their uses. On a side note, before saying something is for "dummies," you may want to use spell check :)
@Truejusticevoice I don't stick on any exercise, I simply like these as a warm up on arm day. I also do dips on the parallel bars...but more as a finishing exercise on chest day. Thanks
@erinstern5 Nice exercise but I see Dave2713's point 2 months ago about the stress on the knees. Would "bar" dips with a weight tied to the waist help or be better? Or someway toget the weight back farther from the knees? Some guys are just trying to help and not do sarcastic criticsm but some come off as doing both..."good, but I can do better" type trash. Just admit it, she's good and beautiful. But have you done anything in the past 2 months since Dave2713's comment on the knees?
@citeav57 lol! I got nothing to prove to you. I believe any parrallel bars dip video on youtube would be perfect for you. Bench dips are crap and they make you look like a total beginner. There are already so many videos of people doing bench dips and a lot of them are average looking, my grandma can do bench dips. Bench dips are easy as push-ups in my opinion.
@Truejusticevoice - She was 4 weeks out of a competition. If you've ever done a show or fasted work outs, you'll know that exercises that may have been "easy" in the past become increasingly difficult.

I added her abs routine to mine and it made a big difference in a week. Starting seeing abs muscles that never new were there.
