Watching and listening, I teared up. The song, and the entire, "The Rising," album, are brilliant, the work of a genius.
And the images add enormously to the effect; the student's choice of this song was a wonderful idea, and he or she implemented it in an A+ way.
I am offended by the, revengeful, hate of the, "we're-going-to-kick-somebody's, anybody's, ass -we're-the-red,-white, & blue," of Toby Keith, and others.
In contrast, this treats the memory of those lost with dignity and respect.
thanks for your effort...as I readied myself to celebrate a lost friends life this Sunday, I found you're video..How fittingly that he was a H.S. Art Teacher in NY, adored by his students...thanks again
911 was an awful terrible day. This whole war is based on a lie. You tube WTC 7 collapse and its an obvious controlled demolition. There were explosives in all the buildings. It was an inside job. 19 Arabs with boxcutters? Please! What a joke. Watch 911 LOOSE CHANGE and judge for yourself. Or at least see WTC 7 collapse. It only takes a minute. It is that important.
This song was used as a backdrop for images of Tim Russert this weekend follwing his sudden death yesterday. A younger Russert reportedly booked an unknown Springsteen to a college gig years before the boss became famous. They were friends ever since.
It's amazing that such a young high school student was able to capture just about every emotion associated with this tragic event, and with such sensitivity. I hope you got an A+!
