My GOD! The sheer ignorance of you people. The Boreal forest is one that is prone to cyclical disturbance. If the MNR let our forests burn naturally, the forest would be renewed every 60-90 years. Because we have become so good at fire suppression not only is clearcutting not bad, but its actually a necessity.

your wrong logging gives jobs not take them away with out it we would lace a very valuable comodity. where are clear cut, this is in usa ? they have more "feuillus" (leaf tree), and they do clear cut ? i dont think... do they plant after? if yes why are u crying ?
Kimberly Clark is clear cutting the Boreal Forest, it's in Northern Canada. It's an ancient forest that supplies something like 25% of the world's oxygen.
Everyone's got bills to pay. And so many jobs have been lost in the forest sector due to clearcutting and the mechanisation of the industry. If the executives at Kimberly-Clark change the company's practices, not only can we save the Boreal forest, but we can help to make sure that our communities have more, and longer lasting jobs
