In fact the Quran contains same scientific errors in embrylogy what the Greeks made, like saying that the bones develop before muscle/flesh on an embryo (Sura 23:14 and the Greek Galen's writings). I think the qur'an (i read the yusef ali translation but also the foundations of islam books) is written by men and not a god. My main contention would be the "man from earth" jinns from fire" idea that mirrors the greeks and their 4 elements. If you accept biological evolution the qur'an is wrong, if you accept science at all jinns cannot exist and the qur'an is wrong and therefore islam is nonsense. Your thoughts?

How did you conclude that it was written by men? It was written down by men but it was the word of God which was written down. Did you know that the Quran mentioned the Big Bang Theory, and talks alot about Embryology and Geography. Shape of the Earth, and many other scientific facts that have been recently discovered. Biological evolution, how is it wrong? It's actually pretty precise...

@1empathy Where did he make a mistake? That's what I'm saying. The Qur'an mentioned embryology 1400 years ago in exact detail, an it wasn't properly discovered until 20-30 years ago. After making the discoveries scientists found it was written in the Quran.
Is it possible that in a few years time scientists will find out that we where actually made from clay? It's possible, because everything the Quran talked about was proven correct.

In fact the Quran contains same scientific errors in embrylogy what the Greeks made, like saying that the bones develop before muscle/flesh on an embryo (Sura 23:14 and the Greek Galen's writings). This strongly suggests that the Quran was plagiarized from the Greeks.

@1empathy You should really check out Zakir Naik's interpretations about the Quran and science. If you really want to learn about this stuff you'll love his videos. Also, about how he proves God exists, how the Quran is one with science (except Darwin's theory, which is no more than a theory)...etc. So many beautiful thing's to see, trust me just search for his videos and you'll find what you're looking for.

That this happens is a FACT, observed in laboratory and backed up by genetic, fossil and anatomical evidence. The THEORY of evolution describes the mechanisms that cause evolution, it explains these facts. So evolution is both a fact and a theory.

The Quran, Dr. William Capmbell produced a book about errors in the Quran but they where all rebutted by Dr. Zakir Naik, and he went on to explain the errors in the Bible.
