I was born with Meningioma . It was on the back of my neck. My sister had it on her knee, but she was lucky and it stopped growing and went away. Me on the other hand, mine was growing on the back of my head. It grown for 9 months before my parents toke me to get surgrey. And i was only 9 months old. My tumor was removed completely, And i was one of the lucky ones, Mine was not connected to the brain.
I mysellf was born with tumors on the back of my head. the tumors are all over the back of my head. I had them removed twice. I had them removed back in 1994. Of course they did grow back and I had them removed again in the year 2000. Less than a year later them came back. I do not remember what the Doctor said they were, however I do remember that the Doc. said that I was one of the Lucky ones because they are grow out. If they were growing in they world be cancer like.
I have had Oligodendrodroglioma since 2000, 3 Operations my tumor is normally non stressing. However at times it turns aggressive. In 2006 I've had both chemo & radiation. It's stll there stable
ive been getting headaches pretty much every day for about 18 months now.if it was a brain tumor would i be still getting the same type of headaches for this long or would it have gotten worse by now? could this be serious? im very worried, i woke up the other morning very dizzy for the first time. any opinions please. im a 25 year old male.
well i don't know much other then she would go numb on one side of her body and she head aches. i nevr new anything about it untill her last three weeks. she had a brain scan and asume she had it almost all her life.
hopefully you'll live along time but in this case her tumor was a lot bigger then they thought and assume she had it for many years. unfortunately there was nothing that could be done other then a few treatments that i don't know if they made it worst because she died 3 weeks later. her name was. Kim.
my 26 year old cousin just found out she has a brain tumor and there saying she has 2 years left. after she had a baby is when the symptoms got worst and that's when they found it.
Dr. Cerullo is my brain surgeon & I'm so thankful of his many yrs. of devotion to research. It has kept me alive thus far. I was diagnosed 9 yrs. ago w/a Meningeoma brain tumor & have had one craniotomy & 2 Stereotactic Radiosurgery's. I hope your cousin will be just fine as I am. Sincerely, cb90222
