if you read the label on electrical tape it says it's known to cause cancer, so i wouldn't tell anyone to use it. that being said, i have my ears at 2 inches and i used electrical tape many times just to get the job done.

You're not supposed to use electrical tape because your ear will attempt to bond to it because it's an adhesive. I'm assuming that you know what I mean by the ear wanting to bond to the electrical tape. BLOWOUTS ARE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. Also you don't have to go out of your way to get $30 or $40 dollar lubricants use Vitamin E oil. Another thing Saline Solution is the best way to get prevent and get rid of infection 1 Gallon of Distilled water and a tbs of Non iodized salt.

it does work that tape for some people i tryed it out but my ears did not like it lol they got pissed off but i do know alot of people that can use it i use plummers tape it makes my ears dry but i just use E oil on my ears but im not taping at the moment because when i was up to 1-1/4 my ears got a cut and had to go back down to 1inch an i tryed they just wont go up but 1 inch is good but anyway your ears look awsome good luck :)

The thing that people like this guy don't understand is that no one is saying that electrical tape does work. They say its not good for stretching. A lot of people have pointed out already. Your ears are uneven and stick out like crazy. Electrical tape did not help this.

@KyleJma its another (more common) method of stretching once u get to bigger sizes,, some people start taping as small as 0 gauge i've heard. there aren't really many tapers in sizes past 1" so with tape u can wrap it around your current size plugs (a couple layers every couple days depending on your healing time) n put them back in. it stretches more gradually than a taper but is much healthier for your ears =)

Electrical tape is bad for you. When you put it in your lobe or whatever you are stretching your body will attempt to break down the adhesive releasing carcinogens in your body. While it works it isn't safe. Teflon or plumber's tape have no adhesive and is it non porous. You can get it at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot....yadda yadda yadda.
