I guess if it's your thing then it's your thing but damn that's a fucking ugly bass. If I were given it I would just hope to find an idiot willing to give me money for it.
Hey man great cover.. but as an experienced bass player you need to slow down and get each of those hammerons with their own thumpy sound. you smashed them all together. But nice rhythm.
@Arachnidius: Thank you for your comment! To me, this bass is so fun to play. The stock electronics sound real nice in the bedroom, but in a live band situation the tone gets buried very easily. I put an EMG PJ set on mine and that made a lot of a difference. Also, the bass is pretty uncomfortable to play due to the strap pin location. A Steinberger Synapse strap hook is a terrific solution to that problem. This bass isn't meant to be played whilse seated, BTW.
@Alvabass Well that sounds good, it's just I've heard some quite negative reviews of it. I've got a Cort bass myself, a C5. It's really great for the price, Corts are highly underrated imo :)
Tom Araya(Slayer), Lemmy Kilmister(Motörhead), Geddy Lee(Rush), Phil Lynott(Thin Lizzy), Paul McCartney, Jack Bruce(Cream), and the almighty master of playing near-impossible bass lines while singing; Les Claypool(Primus).
Check them out if you really haven't heard of any of them before. :)

@shurdi3: I have a 100% custom bass on order from last year and hopefully I'll have it with me in a few months. Also, recently I've been thinking of buying a cheap violin style bass for a Beatles tribute band I'm rehearsing with. Although I have a FireGlo Rickenbacker 4003, I don't think it's as heavily associated with The Beatles image as the Hofner violin bass.
@sarcogram720: On this video, the bass has the stock electronics, a set of PJ Mighty Mite pickups. Last week I replaced them for an EMG PJ set and the difference in a band context is simply overwhelming. I'm planning a new video showing the result of this modification. Thank you one more time!
@sarcogram720. Thank you for your comment! The bass is plugged to my Kustom KBA30 practice amp, and the line out signal goes direct from the amp to my PC sound card.
I love the bass up front like that, but I don't know how you feel so secure with the tune volume so low. I have to use headphones! I would not play that bass sitting down if I were you!
@solowbass: Oh, of course it was much louder whan I played it, man. The thing is, the sound you hear is not the ambient audio track from the camera, but the direct signal from my practice amp to my PC sound card, which is being recorded simultaneously. When I'm done, I add the background music to that recording by means of a multitrack session created with Adobe Audition. (continued...)
@solowbass: When I mix both tracks, I make sure that my bass is really up front. Then I bounce the tracks to a single wave file and then replace the video's ambient audio with the "studio" mix. Thank you one more time for your kind comments! :^).
@lasteffect: Thank you so much, man! This is the seventh one. You missed my Peavey T-40 (used for my "Lemon Song", "Cupid's Dead" and "Is This Love" videos) and my electric-acoustic bass (featured in my "Goin' Blind" video). :^)
@Alvabass I forgot about those two. I forgot also to say that the solo part was good. I liked the non-whammy sound. I have a Digitech Whammy, the red one, and It's pretty cool, but I recently removed it from my current setup though. I just can't find other reasons to use it besides tool stuff.
Great vid, I'd love to pick up an 80's Kramer axe bass, but tough to find. My Digitech Effects unit has a pretty decent Wammy effect, selectable for use with the built on pedal. I've owned all 4 versions of the bass Zoom pedals, and have found them great tools for practice without upsetting the neighbors. The Pandora unit is great too. Look forward to the next vid.
I guess if it's your thing then it's your thing but damn that's a fucking ugly bass. If I were given it I would just hope to find an idiot willing to give me money for it.

Frankly, I don't thing that any self respecting metal player would even bother with this thing.
