  • Thumbs up if your playing air drums right now...

  • i actually find this song especially freaking hilarious

  • i am going to be honest, as an absolute diehard rush fan, the greatest band ever, i can just see geddy lee wanting everyone to forget about this song and most of the album (except for Working Man, Finding My Way), I mean, "I just want to rock and roll you woman", that could only mean the big "S"

  • we covered this tune in the first real band I played in during the 70"s . great dancing song.

the chickies dug it !!!!!! ahhh, back in the day...what a RUSH!!!!!

  • this album is tight butthole, even people who claim to not like Rush (seriously) enjoy this album, its got that zeppelin feel!

  • LOVE this song!!!! One of my favorites!

  • i love listening to this with my boyfriend ..good times indeed......

  • Comment removed

  • one of my favorite songs to play...rush rules!!!

  • Classic shit!

  • This album proves that Neil made the group. He completed the triangle and became the spirit.

  • @2112in2012 John R. is/was a very good drummer, but had to retire due to health issues. I would never wish that on anyone, but having NP join was an amazing bit of luck. I hope he felt good about being replaced by one of the greatest drummers in history.

  • The one that started it all!!!! Thank God for Rush. They got me through my first tour in Germany, during the mid-late 70's. Still addicted to that RUSH.

Happy Rush Day 2/11/12. Dig It!!!

  • @PaBasser I celebrated today too lol. Listened to them for a few hours while working. I need to start listening to them as much as I used to. I seriously used to listen for a minimum of 6 hours a day lol.

  • @Ryu12543 I have a youtube play list of the full first album looped and minimized while I'm at work!

  • my favorie rush song. Simple, classic rock... No peart going crazy

  • @TheDcervi That's cause Peart isn't the drummer. And besides, when has Peart's drumming ever been a bad thing?

  • @TheZPCI i know he isnt the drummer. If he was the drummer his style wouldnt really fit in this simple song because he likes to do drum solo throughout every song. Hes not a bad drummer, obviously.

  • I got interested in Rush back in July when hearing the song "Working Man". Afterwards I went out and bought this album and 2112. I now own a copy of all 18 (soon to be 19) studio albums of Rush, and although I prefer some of their other work over this album, I will always remember it as the album that got me started. (PS: RIP John Rutsey!)

  • has anyone noticed that the beginning riff of this song and rush's "in the mood" are sooo similar???

  • Sounds like a Kiss song, but better :)

  • for best result, listen to this at a quarter to eight

  • awesome song!!!

  • needs more cowbell !

  • nice solo

  • @TheNokie65 It's a great album but I'm more of a fan of their progressive stuff.

  • Wow! if that doesn't sound like Rick Derringer, Lynard Skynard at the start or what?

  • needs more cowbell.

  • this is a sick song

  • @StefanB2112 iam in the mood for some bitches what are you in the mood for

  • now compair this to there song grand designs..makes ya think WHAT HAPPEND?! lol

  • needs more cowbell

  • Part of the main guitar riff sounds like it was pulled straight from a Lynyrd Skynyrd song.

  • 2 People are Asexual Invertibrates

  • Driving to high school song. Always rolling at the last minute. School starts at 7:45, but hey baby it's a quarter to eight.

  • @nicktherocker5 I drove to school listening this song a few times.

  • @Ryu12543 cool story, bro.

  • @Ryu12543 great upload btw!

  • @Ryu12543 Me too, I still have the 8-track tape of this album, as well as about 60 other jammin' 8-tracks!

  • me too, most of the time we wouldn't even make it to school when this tape was playing. :)

  • @ediemacintyre When? Just the other day ago.

  • Needs more cowbell.

  • My favorite song, so hard to play on guitar though! Saw them in Vancouver in 2011

  • Hey guys, we're a group of upcoming 16 and 17 year olds who are trying to make a name for ourselves.

We would love it if you could like this comment to help more people see us!

We are located in New York and regularly play modern/classic/progressive music in the form of covers and originals.

A few of the bands that we generally cover include RUSH, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Incubus.

Please take a few minutes and listen to some of our videos, it would mean the world to us!

  • One of the Best Albums to Trip to! Can you guess when this was?!!

  • @ediemacintyre ...I would say 73?...I don't know..I tripped in 84...lol..Love this fucking album

  • shit man this is the stuff. love this band. forever RUSH!

  • i did'nt mean to disparage rush but skynyrd and rush were two of the greatest bands back in the day they both came from the same era . rush are lucky that three members still survive the original drummer died recently rip. skynyrd has been thru many line up changes but still keep on rocking. thats called character. many members have passed. beginning with the plane crash in 78. rip ronnie van zant. rush is on tour as i speak keep on rocking

  • as much as i like rush don't dis skynyrd

  • This song has a very lynyrd skynyrd sound to it, but its still much better than anything by them, why? because its rush

  • Perhaps the only Rush song to contain the word "baby"

  • @TOSportsFan1990 Because Peart didn't write it. :) Lifeson and Lee did.

  • Justin Bieber disliked this

  • @guitarboyx7 And I disliked this comment for even mentioning his name on this masterful work of a song.

  • @guitarboyx7

    Repeatedly.

  • @guitarboyx7

    are you really surprised?

  • @holycrapitsalex2112 Perhaaps they've never heard "Nobody's Heroe"?

  • Classic song, always good to hear.

  • this song sounds like something from lynyrd skynyrd.....................im so glad its by rush!

  • About that Cowbell comment... Cowbell is cool, and it has its place. It is not funny. Tired of hearing that stupid cowbell joke.

As for Justin Bieber, he's got nothing to do with RUSH. Quite Frankly, Pink Floyd put aside, there is NOTHING that has anything to do with RUSH. They're off the map.

  • its a quarter to eight right now!

  • Love this tune!!! what a "Rush".Don't make them quite like this anymore. Thanks for posting .

  • 4 seconds in...I love it. A very underrated album. Pre-Peart aside. (An easy album cover to draw too. We did 'em all )

  • Leave Justin alone, he cant defend himself, and you'll make him cry.

  • @chuckdee121 He'll cry cuz he is a fag. Why put Justin's name on a Rush video anyway!?!?! There shouldn't be any loser's name on here.

  • i freaking love this song... first rush is a highly underappreciated classic. this reminds me a bit of my very favorite band, KISS

  • Great song to listen to when playing foosball... :)

  • @partypianoplayer Great for anything ever.

  • @Ryu12543 Especially jerking off

  • @partypianoplayer HAHA!!! I always listen to this song when playing foosball on my IPod. Your comment is a true comment.

  • @partypianoplayer Random much.... :)

  • @partypianoplayer Or when you're just hanging out...or stoned ;^)

  • Rush. My nations greatest Export.

  • @captainbigmac The world's greatest export.

  • @Ryu12543 the world's greatest anything!!!

  • @Ryu12543 Where does our world export goods to?

    Cygnus? The Solar Federation? :3

  • @Ryu12543 The universes's greatest export. After the Solar Federation assumes control though.

  • @MacflyinHigh420 Well-put. I guess you could also say they are the greatest thing to ever exist in every dimension and every universe.

  • @captainbigmac you sir, speak the one great truth left in this world :D

  • @captainbigmac 1. Rush 2. Nickelback 3. Three Days Grace

    in this order..

  • @Camillo388 Sorry, but to leave out Triumph and insert Nickelback is just sinful. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Nickelback suck HARD!!!!!

  • @CaptainShinyJunk I mentioned Nickelback for my dislikes in music in my senior presentation this year. My senior quote was "Look on the bright side, at least it's not Nickelback." As a matter of fact, I just finished school today.

  • @CaptainShinyJunk 1. RUSH 2. BTO 3. April Wine 4. Triumph 5. The Guess Who 6. Teenage Head 7. Red Rider 8. Chilliwack 9. Prism 10. Loverboy 7684. Justin Bieber

  • @TOSportsFan1990 what about heart?

  • @TOSportsFan1990 you put justin beiber as high as no. 7684? i have to use scientific notation for his position in my books.

  • @Camillo388 Mentioning Nickelback alongside Rush? Give your fucking head a shake.

  • @Camillo388 1. Rush ...in that order.

  • @captainbigmac Hey, your nation is responsible for some outstanding exports! Not to mention Canadians are always welcome here in the States! And don't forget hockey night in Canada, and Hockey of course...

  • @captainbigmac

    Oh Canada.

  • @captainbigmac America, specifically Pittsburgh (For who I can speak for anyway) Loves Rush!

  • @captainbigmac nah dude, our greatest export is terrance and phillip

  • @captainbigmac Weapon arms, my nations greatest export

  • @captainbigmac Yes they are, but don't forget a certain Mr. Young.

  • lol ...Cowbell

  • omfg at the beginning ! same cow bells sounds as missisippi queen of mountain !!!

    0:05-0:08

  • Finally, the first video that I found without any 'dislikes'

    Damn right!!

  • What else can this song be about other than making boom boom?

  • Haha this was added on my birthday! :)

Pretty sexy for a band like Rush.

  • At their Latest concert at the Molson Amphitheatre Back in July I got all 3 of them to autograph my Copy of their Debut Album.

    Pretty Fuckin Awsome.

  • I remember buying this on cassette tape at Kmart when I was in high school.

  • 0::50 says a mooooooooooooooo.. but to the present Rush never play this part like the original album. I hope you understand me.

  • I love this song!!! Thanks for posting!!

  • heavy metal

  • @rumzsk8 NO, NO!! THIS IS ART!

  • More Cowbell!

  • Comment removed

  • @EHXGUY The next best instrument next to the electric guitar.

  • I first heard this song on CKLW in Windsor Ontario and then I realized Hey, this band just played at my high school . I ve been a huge fan ever since.

  • @dontrushme2112 You should get Beyond the Lighted Stage, great documentary. I'm watching it for the second time in the last 24 hours lol.

  • @Ryu12543 ahh i fucking loved the film. i love in the special features where they have the dinner and get all drunk xD

  • @Ryu12543 same i had to watch it twice in one day haha

  • @Ryu12543 i never really listened to rush until i watched that movie randomly and ever since then i can't stop watching rush on youtube :) neil peart god of drums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @makav3l1thadon I think Caress of Steel is probably their best album.

  • @Ryu12543 i will have a listen i mainly like their main songs like in the mood, fly by night, tom sawyer you know the hits lol

  • @makav3l1thadon Their prog epics changed my life.

  • @Ryu12543 Same

  • @dontrushme2112 did you go to belle river or did they do essex county tour that is where i saw them this brings back memories

  • @dontrushme2112 did you go to belle river or did they do an essex county tour this brings back memories all good

  • @dsbeachhouse It was at the high school in Leamington. in spring of 74 I think but not 100%sure , it was such a long time ago. Also a side note , 2 years later seeing them in Cobo Hall was just as cool

  • catchy.

  • @pluckhutma ya haha :D

  • This is my favorite Skynyrd tune

    (jokin' on skynyrd not Rush)

  • this songs amazing.........but to be honest, i think it could used a lil bit more cowbell.. :]

  • Love the cowbell!

  • It's strange how people think Geddy Lee, and Robert Plant have voices that sounded like girls. Look at that freak'n Justin Bieber. He doesn't even have to freak'n sound like one.

  • @AASKICKBUTT but he still does don't forget that.

  • @AASKICKBUTT Finally, a justin bieber comment I like lol I agree!

  • @AASKICKBUTT At the end of the day, whatever anyone thinks about the vocals of Geddy Lee or Robert Plant, their voices will always be fantastic.

  • @AASKICKBUTT justin timberlake

  • @AASKICKBUTT yeaaa and NOW it is socially acceptable to sound like a girl -_- fucking critics....

  • @AASKICKBUTT

Geddy Lee and Robert Plant have sexy voices. If Justin Bieber's voice was that sexy, he would die

  • To Xeivous, yes they play this song on SiriusXM "The Boneyard". Love "The Boneyard". I've become more acquianted with Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, etc. by listening to that station. If you don't subscribe to satellite radio, you're missing out.

  • @ilovekara102806

yea the reason itts not on fm is because the music is to good to be played to the general public for free *my opinion*

  • Little bit of Lynyrd Skynyrd influences?

  • this kicks ass!

  • This album is 36 years old and STILL KICKING ASS !!!

    Long Live RUSH !

  • this is one of my favourite songs by rush, but barely anyone listens to it.

  • This is the one Rush album I can't find in stores. I probably won't ever trust the internet with a credit card. If you can, can you send me this song (or a download link plz)?

PS. They're supposably working on a new album and new album = another tour!

  • rush is like the prog rock of led zeppelin, only they both can sing of genre of social upheaval, blues riffs and love ballads coupled with fighting for middle earth

  • Never thought of it that way, good observation lol. I love both.

  • thanks

  • @kurt9876543210 good call friend

  • I bought this album in London, Ontario in 1978, even tho I already had a copy of the lp in a 3 record set. The jacket had Geddy and Alex's autograph's on it! I should search thru my vinyl to see if I still have it...Sure hope so!

  • Lucky you if you do!

  • Thanks so much for posting this!

And yes I would be Lucky...if only I could find where I put that darned 1st RUSH Lp! LOL!

  • @Ryu12543 Is it worth a lot of money? My uncle used to party with these guys in some bar back in the 70s for like two years before they got big, they gave him a record and it might actually be signed he said.

  • As much as i like this track/album it has always lacked compared to Neil Perts Rush

  • One of my fave Rush tunes.

  • GREAT POST -GREAT ALBUM

  • i herd this on the radio and i am a big rush fan got 8 CD;s (buying this one next)

and i thought this was rush but the beat is a bit faster then most songs so i was confused talking to another rusher and then we agreed it wasnt but very close to geddys voice i was wrong lol

  • was it on XM Boneyard? thts where i here it

  • me too

  • thanks for this man:D

  • Np.
