all my respects to this bush pilots, they are the best and the most profesional in the industry who encouter so much and develope the best reaction skills.................................
now imagine a landing on this same rwy08 with 12knots crosswind in a Tomahawk in your Xcountry solo flight. I have almost shit on my pans :) For a tomahawk you only need 20 degree bank but this is a fokker so most defenetly 45 deg bank
On the clip here on youtube it is Ísafjördur in the north-west of Iceland. Order the DVD, the approach to Ísafjördur has to be done, on this particular day, below clouds, very low and close to the water. It´s always an adventure to fly there:-) On the DVD the last airport is Vaagar in the Faro Islands, which is a pain in the butt to fly into because of continuous bad weather, but very beautiful and spectacular in any case.
icelandair its one of the coolest airlines in the whole world, they are flying with santa barbara airlines with 767 300ER doing caracas madrid- caracas tenerife. i was working as a cabin crew with them and the pilots are SOOOOOOOO AMAZING! NICE VIDEO!
I'd been eagerly waiting for this to be re-released, and have already placed my order - thanks guys! Now, if you can only please re-release the Air Do 767-300ER DVD (Tokyo Haneda to FL410 in 14 minutes!), my life will be complete ... ;-))
Just watched the full DVD tonight - fabulous! The copyright date is 2003, and there are Christmas decorations up in one of the scenes, so I think filming might have been around December 2002. The Concorde shown is operating flight BA001 (LHR-JFK), having just crossed Heathrow's runway 27L on its way to a 27R departure.
very young captain!

The aircraft making the steep turn right after departure is a Metroliner and not the Fokker 50...
Very cool shot...
