Hmm...I'm not quite sure what you're saying, bu the way I got the voices to do that was simple.

Near the "video" column in the storyboard area that shows the video, audio, and titles, there is a little plus box. If you click on that, put a clip in, it will show you the sound from the clip. By right-clicking on that, you can choose to have the clip sound fade in or out and whether you want it to play or not.
