The reason they hired Dave was because he complimented the sound they already had. Dave CO-WROTE 3 songs and wrote 1 song on Kill Em All LMFAO. RTL sounds nothing like KEA, MOP sounds nothing like KEA or RTL, AJFA sounds nothing like the previous 3, and so on. Dave had NOTHING to do with MetallicA's sounds, just complimented a sound they already had.
