Okay, I started reading other people's comments and almost forgot what I wanted to say....
WOW! I love watching your videos! You inspire me in so many ways and give me great ideas of things I want to learn. I am a real basic spinner, but getting better with practice...
Here is the thing. I LOVE it when you start THROWING down and dancing all over the place! It makes me want to jump up and dance too! You have got some awesome moves and I love the way you do what you do!
Those are beautiful flag poi, as well. Do you make them yourself, or did you purchase them from somewhere? BTW, your vids (the ones of you just doing your thing) are some of the best inspiration I've found for learning new tricks and combos. Sometimes just seeing a move in context makes so much more sense than a tutorial breakdown where the flow is often lost.
Sorry it took so long to respond. thanks for the beautiful response. I do make my own flags. I love them. i sell them also if you're looking for your own. Glad you enjoy seeing the moves in flow. I enjoy playing for sure! much luck to you in your practice! :)
i think your a good spinner but i dont like how conceited poi geek is. The idea that you would charge 12 dollars for a video tutorial on a move as simple as the archer weave is completely absurd. your saying that you think your tutorial on the archer weave is worth more then Nick Woolseys magnificant BTB weave tutorial that he shows for free on his profile. Your a great spinner but you have some bad business practices... rant over
thanks for sharing your opinion. the people our lessons are geared towards are those looking for step by step instruction which the poigeek videos provide. not everyone can get the move from Nick's video. I know this, because many have told me. so yes, i do think it's worth more than that. And if you don't like it, don't buy it. it's a free country/world. Good luck to you! :)
by the way, just because Nick doesn't want to charge money doesn't mean his tutorial isn't worth it. My video is 122 minutes long (over 2 hours) with a ton of information and break downs so simple anyone can get it. You may not find it valuable, so don't buy it. Your thought that I have some "bad business practices" is a narrow minded view and assumes everyone looking for learning has your needs. Different teaching for different students.
Valid point. i was not aware that it was a 2 hour tutorial and accusing u of bad business practices was uncalled for, but i still dont see how something as simple as the archer weave could be broken down into more then 2 steps
Ayup. The so called "fat girls" have some awesome skills, because when they perform they can't fall back on "looking hot" and "spraying whipped cream on the audience" to keep the audience's attention. She was very inspirational to me when I got started, 6 years ago-- showed me that size didn't matter (even if you didn't know you did that) - Keep Rocking, teaching, and bringing awesome flow and skills to the poi arena, GlitterGirl!
I love the setup of this video, the colours and backgroud and costume all go so well together. they are beautiful flags too :) i am quite a fan of flags this vid makes me want to chase down some triangle ones :) thanks
I've always found flag poi boring but THAT was awesome !
I might get myself some flag poi now :-)

Step 1: do a 3 beat weave
Step 2: bring one arm closer to your body
done
