Could you please tell me what does "I dont want to get over you" actually means?? my original language is spanish... so i dont really understadn what it means.... i believe it means something like "i dont want to quit the thing that i fell about you" or something like "i dont want to be myself in a upper way at you"..... please anwser my question :) thank you!

"i don;t want to get over you" means that the guy singing the song was in love with a girl who stopped dating him and he was still in love with her. he doesn't want to get past her and move on to the next girl. he wants the one he loves. he doesn't want to get over her. he wants to keep loving her. so then, "i dont want to get over you" get it now?

the context of the song is irrelevant; the concept of not wanting to get over a person is applicable to heterosexuals just as much as it is homosexuals. the common factor is loving a person, and that is present regardless of orientation. this is an amazing, brilliant song.
