this line is near eynsford in southern england, some friends and myself took one of our locos to it some years ago and one of our group majorly re-shaped the gate at the end of the line. which i have to add was hysterical at the time.
I think the steam loco is an ex Provan gas works Barclay, regauged from 2'6" and with a saddle tank added, can't help you with a location though. Nice little line though.
That's proper narrow gauge! The "putt,putt,putt" of the simplex, squealing flanges on tight curves, it doesn't get much better than that for me. Well done!
Delightful - as is the BBC video linked to on your website

Delightful NG action! I particularly love the not-too-pretty trackwork! Looks like a real working tramway

Ah yes, the good old Tottering and East Dungpile... fond memories.

Excellent, steady video.
Rather than wasting expensive fuel and making pollution, I would be PUSHING the cars and getting free exercise!
Looks like much fun!

VIDEO THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE.
Most of this was the Diesel.
And why not one whistle?

@robertgift
If you put in 'Darent at Bredgar' you will see more of the steam loco and plenty of whistle.

You can find a few more clips of this line by clicking my name.

That sideways Simplex reminds me of the Rye and Camber. Are you sure you didn't pinch their old loco? ;-)
