  • What a cutie! Poor little guy! I just want to snuggle him and tell him he'll be all right! My uncle (mom's brother), my oldest brother and myself (female) all had it. My vet friend said he's performed pyloric stenosis surgery on animals, too.

  • My son had pyloric stenosis, he had his op aged 5 weeks, he is now a healthy 7 year old, he has a lovely scar though.xxx

  • my son was poked the day of surgery in both hands 6 times, they messed his hands, on tuesday he returned to hospital and was poked 8 times....i know what u felt with Landon, i was angry cuz the nurse already knew she wouldnt find a way, so they kept calling more and more nurses, his veins are messed up

  • txn nbeanien, he had to return to hospital on tuesday, and he was discharged right now,,, tnx to God he been doing well, he only vomited once, but he was a little bit dehydrated, they wanted to make another surgery but pediatrician said it wasnt neccesary....

  • my son had surgery two days ago he is 5 weeks old, they discharged him and today he is vomiting again,

  • Landon still vomited for awhile too. It will get better as time goes on. Make sure you keep track of how much he eats and how much of it he is throwing up and let your doc know so they can make sure he isnt vomiting so much that he will get dehydrated.

  • yeah we did the upper gi thing too. Landon was in the nicu for 2 months and they told me he just had acid reflux then 4 days after he comes home from nicu we were back in the hospital with him for this!!

  • my son had pyloric stenosis too!...had surgery at 1 month and 2 days old....drs thought it was just acid reflux..till the 3rd time i brought him in he had lost soo much weight and was soooooo sick and lethargic.. :(..now hes a healthy 1 year old!...thanks god for teh upper gi..barium stuff!!..thats the only thing that caught it!

  • What a loving piece of video you've got of your dear Landon after all he'd been through. It helps reassure PS people like me by giving a feel of what it was like for our parents and us. Thanks for posting this!

Like you and many others have said, I also have a sensitive stomach, probably due to the surgery - thankfully no worse after effects.

  • My son had this at 20 days old. He is now 7 weeks. For 6 days the Dr. thought it was something else. Tests came back normal until he finally did barium swallow which revealed what his daddy & I already knew was wrong with him. He had to have a scalp IV & it broke my heart! Landon is precious!

  • Oh no! How is the little guy doing now? They had to poke my son so many times before they could find a good vein it was heart-wrenching. I couldnt imagine having to watch him get a scalp iv!!

  • He's doing great!! He is 3 months old now!! Can't even tell he ever had a problem at all. The scars are barely noticeable!

  • My son Andru had Pyloric Stenosis at 5 wks.He had is surgery at Children's Hospitol in Atlanta. He is now one yrs old. You can hardly even see his scars.

  • Cute kid. I had Pyloric Stenosis surgery a few weeks after I was born. My cousin also had this condition; the only side affect I can tell is having a weak stomach, like, I love to eat spicy food, but my stomach does not. I'm 27 now and I'm 6'7" tall and 240lbs. So I guess things turned out fine???(except for my shoe size 17)Hope your sons doing good, take care.

  • I know you commented 6 months ago but I didnt see it til just now. He is fine now but like you said has a weak stomach. He doesnt tolerate really greasy or spicy foods too easily.

  • My son was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis in the er last week, but his pediatrician saw the x-rays and ultrasound and wanted another test, which came back showing that he was fine. It is heartwrenching to see a lil baby with IV's hooked up to them. Lil Landon looks just like my son did, with the arm splint and everything. I surely hope that he is ok now.-Isaiah 33:24

  • Our baby boy Leo had pyloric stenosis also- he is doing great at 7 weeks, the surgery was at 3 weeks. Landon is adorable- I'm glad he's doing well. We'll post a video of his scars.

  • What a beautiful baby, hope everything went well for you guys. My youngest daughter had pyloric stenosis also and so did I. I didn't even realize that it was hereditary.

  • So ironic... My son just came home from hospital after having the surgery for Pyloric and his name is also Landon :) Is your son doing well now??? Hes adorable!!
