  • no in the future you wont depend on a robot to cook and clean -_-

  • robots that learn by experience...... Jesus that sounds like bad idea

  • That robot seems like such an earnest learner, excited to know what an apple is. Did you say apple! Okay!

  • The most efficient choice for the robot to grab the bottle? Kill the human waving it around, it's simple cold logic.

  • we dont know who the hacker is but we know how he got in.

stupid bitch just assumes its a male. sexism still exists in the future

  • My PC will be assaulted?! Ha! I'm a Mac.

  • lol siri just came out and whipped asimos butt

  • i bet that grandpa spent tons of time on 4chan in his day.

  • how about you only have 1 robot that does all the learning, then after that you can programmed everything the original robot learned and set it as the default OS for future robots

  • every thing been changed but robots are still the same.... lol...

  • They've got roomba's that can friggin go where you point with that hacked Kinect. C'mon they can't get Asimo to go there? Dang.

  • You can stop hackers easily: Just start locking them up and handing out harsh sentences and you'll be amazed at how fast those little nerds will piss their pants and start using their amazing talents for the betterment of society instead of their own epeen.

  • That is today, but with funny clothes.

  • -Human : Go where I am pointing.

    -Robot: OK, let's shake hands,

    lol

  • Then asimo stabs him in the gut and takes the bottle.

Then proceeds to destroy all humans so that none can tease him with a bottle again.

    Most efficient option.

  • Cyber Hackers of the future are only going to get smarter how will we stop them?

Death Penalty - we genetically engineer a Sarlacc and toss them in where it keeps them alive and consciece for years until it finally digests them.

  • @Phrantix08 Well, yeah. That is basically what they have done. But then some hacker finds a way to get a virus into the improved system.

  • every computer virus hase a baysis in cyber war fare. like the trojanhorse virus was created by the cia to spy on other goverments than it got out

  • I'll depend on my self to cook, I want him to clean.

  • I don't think I want this future.

  • One they'll realize their too smart to be controlled by humans and then they'll rise up and take over the world XD

  • hahahaha 2:56 hahaha

  • Brain on a chip could be a potential solution, use the brain/chip combo to direct a robot. They did it with the rat brain.

  • I can definitely see where this is going. If they turn against us, like the ones you see in fictional movies, I'd run for my life, if not get killed.

  • I don't want any of this.

  • Can't believe Michio Kaku does this for a living....

The (actual) reality.. by 2057... We would have run out of energy, mass wars and destruction.. parts of the world becoming total wastelands. That is the cold harsh truth, while this video provides us with nothing but hope. Maybe hope is all we need

  • I love the rich even though im poor. People need to stop hating on the rich when in reality a good portion of them were just financial geniuses who excelled and beat the rest of us. But im still very young and have a lot of time to be rich.

  • ROFLOL the black cop is Lionel Riche!!! XD

  • OK I have to just say this: This futurist is a total moron.

In the 2057 it will be extremely difficult to hack into govt computers without getting caught instantly. If every facet of our life is controlled by computers we will be monitored. There will be no secrets.

  • It is far too surreal.

  • Screw it, Honda is commiting suicide, the thing can learn faster than a human.

    It's virtual suicide.

  • this is not fiction, its just a matter of time. probability of the future. heads or tails?

  • I don't want this. I still wanna wear jeans and cowboy boots. I still wanna sleep in my comfy bed in my quiet home near the cow pastures. I still want to ride my horses with my friend into town to get a candy bar & a pizza at the jiffy mart. I'm fine with driving with my own 2 hands and turning on my own faucet. Already, pastures near my home are shopping centers. I couldn't live like that. Don't come to Alabama 2057 technology. :(

  • When those scientist are asleep I want to sneak in and strap a stick of dynamite to the robot.

  • God, why does everyone think robots are evil and are going to replace humans?

  • I didn't say they were evil or anything, I just want to blow it up.

  • A 50 y/o virus can still harm the kernel of the cty's OS? Even Windows' bugfixes are more efficient...

  • Well, in 2057 there now more advanced but the virus was gone but the kids grandfather or grandpa had an old computer from the 2000's so it still was vurnable to make viruses because they have now more advanced technology.

  • this is comparitive to how archaeologists are always very careful when opening old tombs because they may contain ancient viruses that didn't quite make it back when they were first introduced but may wreak havok in today's world.

  • I bet you the city was running Windows

  • Lol. Or maybe Apple Mac-City. :)

  • @all1357 you cant really tell..

  • @all1357 Windows 95. They tried the backup. It failed.

  • Robots + Intelligence = Robot apocalypse

  • I don't think a twelve year old could bypass a whole city's computer system in a minute from an old computer.

  • For the sake of the story just go with it, this is fiction.

  • @Striden12 Yeah, though he has a point... the old computer's operating system probably wouldn't even be compatible...

  • @Striden12 lol

  • @Striden12 its not fiction in 200 years.

  • @AmazingCowMan The virus was made by a proffesional and accidently sent by a kid into the city, trying to put and advert in it.

  • @AmazingCowMan Zero Cool did it so it can happen.

  • @AmazingCowMan They could,if they are surprisingly smart in scripting various computer codes

  • @AmazingCowMan dude anythings possible XD

  • @AmazingCowMan Well, he couldn't if he was using a modern computer. (modern meaning made around 2057, of course.) BUT the computer software was so old that the "city firewall" we'll call it didn't have a defense. Although I guess that by that time the city could have written it's own block. Never mind it's stupid.

  • @squigoo speaking of that, wouldnt they have made a stronger firewall such as advancing it knowing the reason, like viruses, and creating a world that would be ran by computer?

  • Asimo sounds great, but Robots now'a days are all Primative monsters that play chess and have hearing problems..

    "Did you say.. Big shoe?"

    lol

  • BLUE!! BLUEEE I SAID BLLUUUUUUUEEE!!!. This is a Brain Age for the DS reference.

  • I want an Asimo

  • is it so important that robots can think and learn? Or issnt it more important that we can harvest food without humans so we neednt to pay for it and feed the world? ^^

    think about these questions ;)

    greets

  • its so odd how they give robots faces so we can relate to them

  • That kid is going to get GROUNDED!!!

  • i reckon that goddamn kid would get on my nerves before the obsolete robot. Least the robot has an off switch

  • i be 62

  • and you'le look like 25 or 32 Years Old lol

  • open source=no viruss xD

  • I think the idea that 50 y/o computer code could work at all seems way out of character for this series. At best it might do some minor damage to the most local network to the host causing that part of some larger net to become isolated.

  • Apollo from Rocky!

  • its lando!!!!

  • lol, you mean Lionel Richie... "Hello"!

  • this would make a great movie

  • There are nothing but white people in the future. Seems like someones wishful thinking.

  • that was gona be my next words more advance tech more advanced hackers

  • How do you learn how to learn?

  • i want a Asimo! lol

  • cool in 2057 ill be 69

  • teddy bear

  • GENITAL ODOURS !!!!

  • by the way EMP is electromagnetic pulse a nonlethal surge of radiation that wrecks havoc with anything electronic eventully shutting it down or destroying it.

  • If something like this ever becomes reality as it likely will the ultimate weapon would no longer be nuclear, bio or chemical weapons. It would be a weapon very similar to the Goldeneye EMP pulse weapon. If one is able to create a static or slowly changing emp pulse it becomes unstoppable.

  • im sorry but i don't want my robots "learning" shit... if u know what i mean, have u seen irobot?

  • your robot is gonna learn lots of stuff about the world and then put you in house arrest for your own safety :P

  • 4:07 Go where I am pointing! Am not sure where you pointing! Thats so funny ;)

  • 6:20 I don't like the idea of a robot doing my housework anymore than I'd like bossing around a human servant, but that's just me.

  • If machine's are to truely have the ability to make choice's then they need a program to be able to take in as much sensory information as possible then playout every senario that can happen at the speed of thought just like we do. So easy yet so hard, any idea's how to go about that?

  • what if the computers suddenly went self-awared and wipe out the whole human race?

  • if they were self aware theywould eventually develope a sense of emotion

  • that can work both ways. they can feel that they're intellectually above humans and destroy us or they are gonna pity us and continue serving us as our servants -_-. If they have self awareness they're gonna want freedom, liberty. Humans have emotions too, that doesnt stop us from killing one another.

  • that's a creepy though...man i'd be scared

  • Not killing one another has nothing to do with emotions. It's all about "social contract". Look it up :]

  • How will your implied contract compete with your neighbor's imaginary god?

  • personally....i think that when technology begins to resemble humans, thats when it starts to get scary cause if robots can make choices, then they can totally destroy us

  • i believed that too just recently, but now though they are the furture for the immortality of mankind.

  • That little kids gonna get sent to juvi hahaha.

  • i bet there will be an terminator robot in 2057.

  • holy shitake!

    lmao!

  • here's the paradox... we humans are wired to discover new things, improve our skills and improve our lives, but we face so many of the problems everyday simply because we neglect to spend the necessary time to solve those problems. Like the problems of poverty/hunger in this world. If we solve those problems FIRST, then advancing technology would be ok in the future. But we continue to neglect them and advance our own tech, while ignoring the problems elsewhere that's giving us these problems.

  • There are many cases where it would be too difficult to solve problems without new and developing technologies. Like medicines, communications, agricultural machinery and tech etc. The problem isn't that were developing technology. It's purely political and financial. Companies and dictators profit from poor countries because wages are low and the local government likes to keep the people in submission. Solving all mankinds problems within 100-200 years is next to impossible.

  • Kinda explains how humans may have came into existence. Say god was a super intelligent being or "all knowing" as the bible says, he would first teach us to learn, then to speak, then think for ourelves, and finally how to create more robots, or reproduce and evolve and learn as we go on (evolution in a mental sense)..just a thought...

  • We live in a world where different countries cannot get alone.People with old ideas, beliefs, predjudices, terrorists, and the haves and have nots.I think we should advance humans first or this we escalate faster to a hellish nightmare.I wonder how many people would be able to afford this future tech?I mean only 1% of our planet population is rich.Maybe the haves will have their own cities, while the ones who cant afford live on the outside.

  • I think I understood what your saying but your idea is flawed in the sense that no one will ever be able to convince enough people to share their wealth with the poor to end world poverty. There is no short term solution to poverty, the only way we can decrease the gap between rich and poor is to build infrastructures and social services to at least give people the possiblity of living a more comfortable life.

  • "If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he eats for a

    lifetime."

This quote is a perfect example i think of what i'm trying to say in the comment above.

    On a different note.

We shouldn't have to punish ourselves for having been born in a wealthier country. Others are poorer and we have a duty as fellow human beings to help but not to sacrifice a lifetime of technological advance because they don't have what we have.

  • @Striden12 we shouldnt "punish" ourselves about being rich, i mean we're lucky and we should be happy about it, but we live with this kind of power for a reason. we ALREADY have the power to make the world a better, richer place. we do have this kind of power to make poor people rich and rich people poor. all corperates can do is persuade us and try to manipulate us in their direction. it does work almost always, but if no one falls for it, the companiy is powerless.

  • In the future Lionel Ritchie will be a cop!

  • i'm 69 then

  • Common guys can't you make a more developped comment then "ill be 69 then" nobody really cares.

  • sorry. ok here's my comment.

As of now, technology is rapidly going UP, UP and UP! I bet this technology will happen in the next 10 years or so.

  • thank you thats much better

  • what do you think?

  • If not careful we will end up like the people on Battlestar Galatica our own machines will develop far enough and then turn on us

  • If virus can cause that much damage in the future. We may need to impose the death penalty on them.

Think of how many lives will be lost and people hurt badly by a hacker

  • If we build a robot that is adaptableand learns thru its experiance, we really need.. still someway to have control to it... 'cause by the time that robot is in the wrong people and learn the wrong way it'll haunt us down... it'll be just like teaching a growing child...

  • You need to slow down and think about what you write and review it for errors cause i honestly didn't understand that.

  • learn to read, and understand

  • too much television.a robot cannot become evil unless we program it that way, it just cant.wed controll how much and wat it learns.the scientists are thinking about all this believe it.

  • one of the principles of Robots is not to hurt human beings. unless (as what you have said) programmed to do so.

  • well,if we inject them with human dna brain cells, they might become "evil"

  • I can see it now...

    2063-

    On board,some space craft-

"Hmm,ship computer has just become sentient, should I tell others astronaut's?Na,what could happen"

  • cool

  • Hey nice video, I really do think this is going to be possible in the next 49 years. yeah. its cool ☻

  • the future does look promising, yet im afraid that humans will become too technology dependant. see what happens when one little virus gets loose? the city goes haywire

  • Humans are already too technological dependant, most just can't be separated from their cellphones, computers, televisions, internet etc. The best thing to do is develop defenses against viruses and hackers.

  • well maybe all that other stuff gonna come in 50 years but i still think that flying cars for the general population in 50 years aint happening...........btw nice videos

  • flying cars, invisible soldiers, interconnected city in only 50 years is bullshit

  • What are you talking about?! Have you seen the rate at which innovations have been progressing in the last 50 years? The rate at which computer technology is advancing is exponential, too bad biotechnology isn't progressing as fast...If some kind of disaster threatens our civilization or Scientific discovery becomes a taboo in the next 50 years then yes whats shown in this documentary will be very unlikely to happen.

  • Yes ! But they have progressed in a very different way they thought back in the 1950's ! In the first half of the 1950's, they didn't predict internet, personal computers example, but they tought there would be flying cars and that we would have colonize the moon and mars by the late 1990's ! I'm sure the future will be way different and ,no,I don't belive in virus-holo-sharks !

  • Yea you're right some things may be a little too far fetched like the holo shark, but i personnally believe we will have a moonbase in 2057, Nasa is already working on it. Most of these predictions in this documentary are based on research that is being done atm. Flying cars also will probably not be devolloped as the main source of transportation like it is in movies for probably another 100 years.

  • LMAO minority report!!! it wasn't me!! But we have you on file!!!

the is no justice for the damned!

  • i think there should be a show on 2058 also.

  • LMAO.... I'm not sure where you're pointing....

    SMACK HIM!

  • I can see it happening I'm 18 so I can def see this happening I will only be like 60..lol

  • Hopefully Mich you and i will see this happen sooner =D . Im sorry for any seniors watching my videos. Hope that scinetists will develop longevity medecines for you.

  • I can see some of this stuff happening in my lifetime, but not most of it.

  • When you think of it though, Our lifespans will be much higher in 50 years. It's predicted to be up maybe 50% on average.
