I think that my urithane ball hooks more than this ball... but then again, sometimes it hooks more than my Hammer "Jacked" if i throw it in the sight spot...
This ball is basically a dry condition ball. It's not meant to compete with a Vibe or any other ball with a core. It's a ball meant for when you're getting completely frustrated in the 3rd round of a 9PM league where the oil is used up and you're throwing way across the lane.
People disappointed with the ball are likely using it on "good" oil instead of bad oil. Think of it this way: a plastic ball has no come back -it just curves-, a cored ball hooks too early. This is a balance of the two.
this bowler has alot of hand and the pattern isnt that long. he is playing rather straight for a higher rev bowler and throwing it into the dry so it can react the way it does. plus the razor has a coverstock so that where 60% of the hook comes from
lol this guy makes the razyr look pathetic. It depends on what direction revs u put on the ball. If its more forward roll (like chris barnes) the ball wont do crap. If you have side revs (Pete Weber style) this is the most aggressive backend ball i've thrown yet...
not really the razyr is really smooth through the heads. i would recomend the rayzr its straighter and more forgiving and the backend is just as strong
Shows how good you are the razyr is designed to go long with a good backend and without a core the ball gets the job done one of the best balls on the market with an outstanding price
Just proves that all that core nonsense is overrated, balls like this proves it.
Great for all kinds of styles, there's crankers using this, tweaners and mainly strokers. Yeah, I'm definitely getting this or the Vibe Blue since I'm a stroker from the outside.
i bought a cherry vibe. im a stroker. it took me a few practice games to get use to it but i got used to it the 10th frame of my last game and i had 3 strikes in a row. cant wait to bowl with it again. those 3 frames got me excited to see it finally work for me
Yeah, my friends who are also strokers have told me the cherry vibe is also good but for my style a bit too aggressive. I'm more of a straighter stroker(not that aggressive hook) but a last minute back end style. C vibe is good, I just don't think it's fit for me. :)
According to Hammer's website, "Recoil Reactive coverstock- the most aggressive coverstock ever put on a 3-Piece ball". Imagine what would happen if they put the coverstock on a reactive core.

i have this ball, i hate the dry lanes which is aqward because i can hook it better than on a dry lane.
On dry lanes i have to add more speed a little less hook.

Sometimes the trick is to spin the ball off your hands a little more than usuall and move to the last dot on the left
BowlerBoy92 2 years ago
just a question which is better razyr hammer or a hammer vibe

its not a good inside ball, if you start at the 1st or 2nd board it will hit the pocket harder, bowled a 252 like that, better in my opinion
lzenna1 3 years ago 2
Playing the one board like that is risky.

Why buy this? I'm going with the vibe, cleaner through the heads and better back ends... no point in the razor for me.

same with me

What is diferent between razyr and ebonite complete NV ?
vaksu 3 years ago
the rayzr is a 3 piece (pancake)
mrtvmankiller01 3 years ago
lol vaksu, this is funny, the razyr has no core, its all in the coverstock,

This ball is not bad...it's just doesn't fit my style. I love the reaction with no core, but I would suggest a Cherry Vibe instead.

i bought this ball three months ago it is great! ''I don't need no stinkin' core''

yeah the coverstock itself is 80 percent of a ball's reaction

It has no core? It shows.
cypher9090 3 years ago
If it has a big huge core, it shows as well...
It looks like a nice ball, nice smoother straighter reaction. Straighter is greater!
TheBowler1 3 years ago 3
IT has a pancake core wich really isnt much
kadaj1313 3 years ago 3
Holy crap, how can it hook at all without a core? Sweet coverstock manufacturing haha

Thing hooks a lot for a pancake!
