For a clumsy, bungled version look no further. No interpretive plan, just lots of showy effect. If you want an inspired dialogue with the gods, try Britten/Richter; there's real fun, with all the conversational jokes that Mozart can provide. Here the joke is on the poor players. What a wreckage.
>>Britten/Richter, yes. But don't stop there. If you're a pianist, Mozart enthusiast or lifelong student of music, the Ingrid Haebler/Ludwig Hoffman collaboration from the 1970s is essential. To those aware of her artistry, Haebler is much appreciated. But many have never heard of her. She's a marvelous interpreter of Mozart. In addition, her collaboration with Henryk Szeryng on the Beethoven Violin/Piano Sonatas is equally noteworthy.
Super, never heared this Sonata and really wow I have missed a lot .. truely amazing sonata and wonderfull played ... I enjoy my holl evening with those 2 !
Lang Lang is taking the attention away from the music and putting it on him. He unnecessarily explodes on chords and it makes a terribly harsh sound. He's got incredible technique...but he's a poor musician.
Interesting to close my eyes and listen to the contrasting parts. LL is a damn the torpedoes kind of player and wants to be a rock star. DB lets the poet in Mozart speak.
Magic fingers!

@tonyinvan Lang Lang is a good pianist, he has good skill, but he "spoil" with the interpretation of the music, so he is criticized.
Daniel Barenboim is a great pianist! he is the best pianist and conductor in my opinion.
