great vid- in my area in ny we recently had a hurricane blow through and some people were without electric and hot water for as long as 8 days... it was in warm weather too. at least you could shower outside. a week isnt a long time. my hardship? no clean clothes after vacation! had to find a laundromat with power. if this is what makes people crazy after 1 week could you imagine after 1 month?
So damned true Danman. I live in south Orange County and we were also affected by the outage. My wife thinks I am crazy for getting into the survivalist mindset, but when the day comes, she will be grateful that I did. Makes me wish the outage had lasted longer. Thanks for posting this one. It is to the point and necessary in today's world.
@BrianLiles I hear ya bud! My wife thought I was nuts at first, then one day she gave me a big hug and thanked me for all I had done to protect our family just in case. Everybody should be prepared for at least a house fire or storm. And I love to be able to take off camping at a moments notice, and not spend a dime.
We're gonna be the ones laughing when they are queing/fighting over stuff. Its only common sense after all. My family motto is Murphys Law so you might as well get used to the idea and get prepped for it.
i couldnt agree more....i hate sheeple..last winter i stopped on my way home for some bread and people where emptying out the store because we might actually get some snow .( if we ever get snow here, it's usually gone the next day )
