  • This is the music that I love not the shit that is on the radio today !

  • @Medic83301 amen

  • 12 year old kids today play CoD and swear at their mother

  • A #1 hit for Little Stevie Wonder in August 1963. It also hit #1 on the Rhythm & Blues charts. Could this blind kid be the breakout star of the 1960's? We shall see.

  • marvin gaye on the drums

  • when you really think about it, how many twelve year old kids can do this. let alone blind ones. truly amazing.

  • Lake Louise in the 60's jamming to this song in the sand! Oh, the memories!! Kick it , little Stevie!

  • Wow...........13-18 year old aspiring artists, i have advice for you: Take notes from what you're listening to right now........

  • @swagger234 got my pen and paper! ;)

  • There`s nothing handicapped about stevie wonder.

  • his last good hit . The rest was nothing but left wing propaganda

  • @radicright - His "last" good hit??? You must have been listening to a totally different Stevie Wonder then....

  • Yeah, so witty and original to crap on that Beiber kid. It's really beyond ridiculous that in the Youtube universe, people are not sick of the same tired, worn out reference on video after video. If someone got on TV every and told the same joke every day, would you still laugh at it? You would say enough, already. Think he's too popular? Don't blame the kid- blame the American public. To thumbs-up those comments just encourages this garbage to go on endlessly. Enough already!!

  • 2:22 ''What key, what key?!''

  • This video is posted on Facebook page called "Golden Tunes - Sound of Oldies", so if you have fb account and some time, check it, i guess you will like it :) Page is for everyone who like like warm cozy sound of evergreen music.

  • I'm reading the biography of Stevie Wonder and wanted to hear his first hit. Wow, amazing.

  • The greatest piece of music ever made

  • Billboard's 135th #1 hit of the rock era. Sampled in Chaka Khan's 'I feel for you.' God bless!

  • I was on the computer, and thought to myself, "Everyone thinks Justin Bieber is so great because he was like, 13 when he got famous. BUT WAIT!!! Stevie Wonder was pretty young too, I wonder what his first song was...." and I found this awesome song. This improvised, real, rythmic and bluesy magic.

  • I was just sitting in front of my computer and started thinkin about Stevie Wonder. I read his bio and i still cant imagine, how he would make this shortcoming and be an icon. He proves that anything is possible. Wow. But he did he learn to play so many instruments. Is he a genius? He must be. Motown.

  • WHO DOES'NT LIKE STEVE WONDER ONE OF THE GREATEST PERFORMERS WHO EVER LIVED...

  • The B-E-S-T

  • Only thing missing was Ed Sullivan sying Come on let's hear it for him...great recording

  • a music genius with this one -- 12 years old? I did not know. amazing amazing!!

  • I love the audience, they're so into it and they just ratchet up the excitement...it wouldn't have been as good without them.

  • At 2:18, the majestic re-entry into the song ( especially featuring Marvin Gaye's "Hand of God" drumming) is officially the greatest moment in recorded musical history.

  • Go, Stevie. But y'all need to leave li'l Justin Bieber alone. Let him be young and enjoy what he's doing.

  • @7SoulDeep7 OK bieber lover

  • At The Close Of A Century

  • It simple doesn't get any better than this. Unless it's "Sir Duke."

  • who couldn't do this when they were 12 i think i had TWO #1 singles by the time i was 12

  • The DJ's on NYC's radio stations had a lot of fun with that "what key"frantic question.

  • @ 2:25 = "What key? what key?!" hole. lee. crap!

  • NO ONE... can burn that harp like good 'ol Stevie.....

  • I was 13 when this came out. I'm a musician now, but even then I knew this was magic.

    It's still magic.

  • marvin gaye

    Stevie ! the band ! the audience ! ** ~ LOVIN' IT ~ ** !

    Thnx mawrazen

  • First heard this song back in the early '60s

and I was BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!!! This kid could sing!!!

  • This a big contributor to why I love R & B/Soul.

  • llove it

  • dakotajim....beautifully written.

  • This song is considered the first 'live' recorded song of the rock 'n' roll era. Who could imagine a 12 year old handicapped genius would develop into an icon & one of Motown's most productive artists second to Smokey Robinson. It would climb to the # one spot on the billboard charts in 1963 and put him on the road to fame and fortune. He would also become a great humanitarian and the driving force to establish MLK's birthday as a national holiday. Little no more, and with a heart of gold!!

  • @dakotajim11378 Very well said!! I couldn't agree more!! Stevie is a genius indeed!! He didn't let his lack of sight discourage him from reaching his potential, and fulfilling his dreams; what an ICON!!!

  • @dakotajim11378 actuly 13

  • @missgrandpark His bio says 12. Get your facts correct.

  • This song inspired my dear brother to add the word "baaaah" to his vocabulary, cuz that's the way he heard Stevie sing it at the end here.
