I have never played any metroid that came before Metroid prime. I do have Metroid(Remake of an old metroid game), i cant play 2D Games, it fucks my eyes. I have played, and completed, MP, MP Hunters, MP2 Echoes and MP3 Corruption. and i have watched an LP of MoM, since the game will never be released in my country, and i'm just to lazy to order it from over-border. and i dont like 3rd person games(except LoZ games)
so even if Samus didn't lose her abilities would the stuff still be there? It just doesn't make sense, having high-tech weapons scattered on a uninhabited planet.
@EthantheAbsol it's been quite a while since I've actually played Prime, but if I remember correctly, Tallon IV is where a good portion of the Chozo ( I think that's what they were called) were located. And if you know any of the Metroid lore, the Chozos are the contributors to Samus' power suit and weapon. Not sure if that is entirely correct and sorry if I offend anyone but that explains the high-tech weaponry on a desolate planet. Or it could have been on a whim from the developers :)
great game; the only flaw I can find is that you cannot look and move at the same time like most other FPS games. Why did they leave the C-stick unused?

@jilijub you are samus aran, an intergalatic space bounty hunter, rescused and raised by chozo when she was a child after space pirates attacked her space colony and killed her parents, was following a distress beacon, shes driven to find the soucre of the beacon and ends up going to the planet to try and find who or what had set up that signal.
FUCKING PRO! I can hardly keep up. I played all the classic metroids back in the day on NES and am just now experiencing this marvel on the Gamecube..... newest system I've got.... Xbox, ps2, and Gamecube... Also got an Atari Jaguar, DAMMIT MAN. I didn't know about HALF this shit... fucking amazed.
When your fighting the boss to get morph ball you can jump to get it if you have space jump already. If you know how to get space jump immediately you should try it.

@Catdramaticstatic Well, that was more of a gaiden game (side game) than anything else. It wasn't a full MP4 made by Retro, and it certainly wasn't up to the standard of the other three. Since it took place between MP1 and MP2, I'd say it's more of an MP 1.5. Look at Resident Evil. There were five games in the series prior to Resident Evil 4 coming out (not even counting the side games). Granted, one was a prequel, but there's really no excuse for Code: Veronica.
This is why every time I play a game like this, I scan everything; enemy, environment, switch to get an idea. For the bosses, I scan them in hopes of finding a weakspot and coming up with a battle plan. Great job though.
What I love about this game unlimited ammo. Mash that A button!!
