Yeah Poor ol Towering Inferno who starred as Phar Lap...Phar Lap was Thai for 'lightening' and sadly Towering Inferno died in his paddock after being struck by lightening in 1999 at age 26.
@DressageStar109 His trainer had been feeding him small amounts of arsenic. After the race, he accidentally administered too much and, Phar Lap, the greatest race horse ever and an Australian icon, died.
People only discovered the arsenic after examining his hair recently.

Many people wanted him dead because he was unbeatable. They say he died of arsenic poisoning and also they say a rogue american underworld gang wanted him dead as it would inflict huge losses on illegal bookies. But millions of people would be thanking Phar Lap for saving a country in a recession. He wasn't just a horse, He was the best, a legend
