I have dark skin too and this palette works pretty well with my skin tone.  Unfortunately, it's not as pigmented as MAC, but it gets the job done.

I loved my palette it works so great and OMG blends with other brands too. My ELF palette I seriously use everyday No joke. My palette works better than most of my higher end makeup. Lucky meee.

@Busyxbees thanks for your feedback to be honest i am thinking of getting it as a present for a friend but i cant imagine giving something that isnt pigmented as a present, having said that however ELF rocks as a brand they just get better by the day to be honest

@blackandthick It's hit and miss for alot of the products. Sometimes you get a batch that's very pigmented. Mine is kind of in the middle. Could be better, but I can work with it.

@YahuwahsAngel i got the palette and it has all kinds of textures, it's got some shimmery darks, pearly colors and matte neutrals. the only problem i have is that i can't get enough pigmentation without a spongetip applicator. In all the palette is great for starters and experimentors!!

i have it, the shadows arent very pigmented, and very powdery with lots of fall out i suggest a primer first (a white one works best) to help out with pigmentation
