  • simplicity power and longevity.

    were going backwards in engineering.

  • id like commentary maybe with some educational information?

  • Thank you for posting this video.I've wondered how the valves worked in a flat head but never saw one that wasn't already put together.

  • are the flat head v8s more powerfull then the big block 460 from the mid 70s im rebuilding a 76 thunderbird and i thought it whould be cool to have a flat head in it

  • @importssuckazz You are kidding I hope.

  • @importssuckazz if im not wrong the flathead barley makes 100 hp

  • @mudpuppy4life depends on the year

  • @importssuckazz if what ive read is right if you can get it up to 200hp area you need an aftermarket bottom end to handle the power you might see 250 to 300hp on a really good build is what im guessing but i would save the flat head for someone building an old school car or into nostalgia drag racing and stuff but mctim64 really cool video and any real car lover will like it i know i did

  • do you mind telling me what is the shop manual in this video. I'm starting to work on a 1933 v8 and need a good all around service book ...needs to include good wiring diagrams timing ect. thanks paxton

  • how does the exhaust flow out of those with only 3 openings??? do the middle 2 cylinders share the same opening???

  • cool...that must be what gives them their unique sound...

  • y-block rules!! greetings from argentina

  • Ok Then you say a Y Block what other kind of blocks were there made in the v8 flat head. Fred Australia

  • Only Henry would come up with a tool that installs valve locks and doubles as a tire iron!!

  • where can i get one of those valve assembly tools????

  • I'm sorry, but all the Flathead tools I have are fifty or more years old. I have seen them at swap meets and on eBay, you just have to keep your eyes open.

  • yeah me too i got a bunch of ol flattie tools but never seen one of them before, i always go for the old tools cause if theyve lasted this long they have to be good quality. thanks anyway.

  • aftermarket tool companies such as snap on will carry something for your special needs, but will cost an arm

  • Its great to see new life being injected into the most famous of FORDS V8's. Well done 5 stars. FORDROAD AUSTRALIA.
