I know nothing about holster-ing: So, how does this kind of holster function when *not* wearing a belt? Will it still work?
Side note: I noticed that the glock version has one for the Glock 19, 23... and then another glock version that is generically for glock 9mm and 40cal guns (I think the bottom of it is open so that the longer glock barrels can extend from the bottom). Hopefully, this means that my glock 35 will work, too.
@BfSkinnerPunk I wouldn't run a holster like this without a belt. I suppose it would be fine to hang it on your pants, but you will get the best retention if it can clip onto a belt.
I like your vids. I actually use their Minotaur MTAC Holster by Comp-Tac. Same concept as the one you reviewed but It is completely backed by leather. It replaced my Milt Sparks IWBs I had been using. This is the most comfortable holster I have ever used. I use it with a M&P 9C.
Hey noBuzzkillin what is the exact model number for this holster? Well because of your great video's I just jailed my first 1911 one day ago the Kimber Stainless TLE/RL. Again thanks so much for your vids
great video I have a Kimber Custom 2 that I want to carry and this seems to be the best option I have seen. I am wondering why you cant carry daily where you live? Seems odd to me that you couldnt carry daily if you have a permit.
Hi im almost 16 and this question is sorta out of topic if you dont mind i need to know whats the legal age to own a gun all i have is Paintball Guns and BBguns and great video ima ganna subscribe to you and add you as a freind.
@rocknrolla81 Good question, and I should have addressed that in the video now that you mention it. I'm not really sure what the LONG term effect on the pistol would be as far as wear. I cannot see any short term scratches or anything. I'm really not too concerned personally about what I would consider "honest wear", but if I notice anything that might concern others, I'll make sure to post. First several months do not show any noticeable impact that way. As always, thanks for commenting...
Great vid ,ive been looking for a good quality holster for my 5in taurus 1911.Love the intro music ....Are those 5.11 taclite pro pants you have on there ? i also have a pair and am looking forward to getting more .
@blkriflear15 Thanks buddy. Music is just random guitar plucking slowed down some. I'm not sure which 511 pants these are, but they are 511's. I've seriously got about 8 pairs, and I wear them every day almost. At about $19 they are the best thing going IMHO. Thanks for watching.
What's the point of having something like that if you can't carry it outside of your home? Not trying to be a smart ass just wondering.
Personally I went with Kholster for mine. Those and the crossbreeds were just too much $ for basically the same thing. Plus I dig Jimmy from Kholster's customer service...the owner of Crossbreed is a dick.
@smttysmth02gt I don't take it as you being a "smartass". It's a legitimate question, and I thought about it before I bought my first holster. Though I cannot CCW, I still train regularly on holster draws, which I think are an essential part of any pistol training. There are plenty of situations where I may have a holstered firearm to warrant practicing, so I spread time equally over accuracy and dynamic movement.. Thanks for watching.
@lynette1953 You CAN open carry in Ca., but around here people get hassled by local law enforcement if they do. It's a LOOOONG story, and I like to keep politics off of my channel as much as possible. ;)
@ArtisanTony Haha, yes, I have a MWFS ccw. Yeah, I caught that too upon review, but didn't think it was worth editing and re-uploading. ;) I do always carry when home and when I go to train, so I think my brain gets confused about why I can't carry when out and about. And it IS confusing. Thanks for watching AT.
@ArtisanTony Oh no, its all about local law. State allows concealed carry permits, but Sheriff issues, and in our county, the Sheriff does not issue unless he knows the people personally, or you can prove that you have a "legitimate" reason... Don't even get me started on it... trying to keep my blood pressure down this holiday..
thumbs up dude.. ok now i see how if took you that long you but alot of good editing into it.. never saw that style of holster before i must be slacking
@lskw1 I'm trying to get the times down some, but it takes what it takes I suppose. Yeah man, I'm surprised that you haven't seen these too. I think gwargwar and Pete are pretty big on them too. At least from what I remember. Definitely worth a look.
christmas present for yourself? awesome holster. might have to look into one of those to carry concealed. i have a blackhawk serpa 2 tactical thigh holster for running shooting drills in my back yard. they are great holsters for tactical situations, but are not cheap. this looks comfortable and conceals great. i don't mind paying for a good holster. hope you had a good christmas man!
@MrJohnboy1911 Thanks buddy. Naw, this wasn't a self-present, although it could easily have been one. I bought this several months ago, and Ive been really happy with it. Shooting drills in your backyard?? Man that sounds nice. I've got an hour drive to get to an open range, and then there are usually ding dongs hanging out there. Thanks again for watching man.
