Awesomezzzz! Did you get standards? Or were you schooling somewhere else? Either way....you guys are looking sooo good! I wish Zander and I were jumping as high as you guys! Maybe one day.
@horsesofcourses1: Aw thank you so much!! And sadly no, no new standards here, I went to the arena in town to get her out and about =]] Aww, you are so sweet! And don't worry, think you guys will get there, probs sooner than it took us to! I mean you two haven't even been working together that long and you are already getting champions at shows!! Now THAT is awesome ;D
@empy5 Haha! Thanks! I sure hope we do, but I just don't want to push Zander too hard considering he has such a stocky build and isn't bred for jumping. As soon as he shows signs of wanting to quit, we will. But until then, we will keep trying!
@horsesofcourses1: I wouldn't worry about Zander lol he has plenty of bone and it shouldnt affect him in the slightest, he's full grown and mature, and as long as he doesn't have any major issues he should be fine. Even if he isn't bred precisely for it, if a horse likes it and is conformationally sound then they should be fine =] I think thats great you are so considerate about him =]
@empy5 Yeah, he certainly is a big boy!!! Very true...the only issues he has are grump issues, and that doesn't affect jumping (I hope!) :0 I never really thought of it that way! Haha, thanks! I just want to make sure that he is up to it, because Ponyboy ,who I used to ride, coliced at least twice a year and had other problems I think involved with his stomach...so I guess I am so used to being paranoid that I can't help myself from being paranoid about Zander, too! LOL
@iloveheartland7: His name is Tex =] We bought him before Empy was even born,lol. He was a rescue and has ringbone so can only do light work, he's my little sister's riding horse now. And no haha. If i have friends/family over they can ride Red a bit but I'm the only one who rides Empy, she's a wild child. ;]
@iloveheartland7: She's 11 =] and why would she? She has one already! Tex is hers, I just coach them during lessons and feed him LOL. ;D I don't want to take on any more horses tbh, these guys keep me busy around the clock! ;D

I love how you give with your hands over the jumps, it's nice to see riders not yanking on their horses mouths when they jump.
